And that’s exactly what we need to maintain our lead against Tampa, FL in the Go Pet Friendly “Best City for Pet Traveler’s” March Madness tournament…
The Boys joined us today as we took our house guests downtown to Battery Park –
One of the best spots to get to know Charleston, South Carolina is Battery Park. This lovely spot on the waterfront features southern mansions, cannons, cannon balls, oak trees, palmettos, statues, a gazebo, and incredible views of Fort Sumter, Castle Pinckney, and the Sullivan Island Lighthouse.
The ocean breeze was doodle*licious, and the flowers are already in bloom…
As you take in the sights, you can’t help but feel as if you’ve stepped back into time as the area hasn’t changed much in the past few centuries. Pack a picnic lunch or go for a stroll along the waterfront, and of course bring your pup along…
We spent the entire day downtown, laughing, tails wagging and eating a little Ben & Jerry’s #Harleylikesvanilla
I think everyone turned in early…

We just LOVE South Carolina and hope some day to live there!! Pawley’s Island is a favorite of ours…but we have never been to Charleston! We will have to plan a trip!

Thanks Jeanne, Charleston has always been my happy place. I’m not sure what specifically makes it feel so special, but together – the blue skies, warm weather, beaches, food, historical atmosphere, friendly people and most of all – how pet friendly everyone is sort of does it for me! Will have to get over to Pawley’s Island for a visit. Thanks for the incentive.
