It’s that time of the month. That time when we hover around the mailbox waiting for our little brown box from the little brown truck.

It amazes me how programed The Boys have become with the UPS delivery schedule. They seem to recognize when it’s somewhere around the 18th of each month. They know what’s coming…

Once I sever the packaging tape from around the box edges, I grab a beverage, my camera, and sit on the floor to watch as they (mostly Harley) tear through the box looking for that special something…

This month came with all sorts of interesting goodies…

A “Floatie” toy from Aussie Naturals made with a tennis ball, rope and squeakers. Once submerged in water these aquatic animals transform into floating retrieving toys.

All natural duck and brown rice snacks from Plato.

A homemade treat for either summer or winter. Grain and salt free treat mix that can be frozen in ice trays to cool them down in the summer, or blended with hot water to make a comforting broth after a morning romp in the snow. Comes in a package like hot cocoa from The Honest Kitchen. I will probably make it as a frozen treat. Can’t really see The Boys sipping a hot broth by the fireplace in the middle of winter – HA!

Liver munchies from Primal Pet. These are made from 100% “turkey” liver and it seems to be a fav of Leo’s right now.Made in the good ole US of A, grain free, salt free, and sugar free.

And the bag Harley was dying to take out of the box? “Bully Flakes” from Bark Worthies. These are ground bully sticks that you can sprinkle over your dogs meal. I equate it to “Parmesan Cheese” over spaghetti. But because I deal with sensitive tummies, I will have to pass on this one 🙁

While Harley continued to widen the hole in the Bully Flakes, Leo was content to tear up the tags from the Floatie toy…

So as they played, I decided to start my draft for this post. I found the cutest pawture and email of lil “Pierre” – an adorable Bichon Frise in my inbox. He was one of the recipients of our BarkBox give away and his Mum sent this note:

BarkBox scored another home run at our house this month…

Loved the music with the video. It made me laugh. Harley is King of the package I see. Glad Leo loved the wrapper too. Can’t wait to see what the boys get next month.
