ULTRA OIL FOR PETS

I am so excited to tell you about Ultra Oil for Pets! I’ve been using it for 4.5 weeks now and love what it’s been doing for Harley – so much so – I want to go on QVC and sell some #callmenancyhornback

Friday I told you about two natural relief sprays by Natural Paws that significantly reduced his constant scratching, biting and digging.

While this is good stuff, it only adds “topical” relief. I still needed to find out how to reverse what was happening inside.

Harley’s been suffering from environmental allergies for months now, and I’ve had to accept that this wasn’t going away with just a spray and a prayer. #believemeItried

I wasn’t accustomed to flakes floating in the air every morning when I brushed him. Scabs and sores were becoming common on his back and stomach areas…

ULTRA OIL FOR PETS

Research, phone calls and a visit to the vet all pointed to pollen, dust mites, grass and the climate (heat and humidity).

The scabs on his skin (from excessive biting and nibbling) were now infected. I felt so bad because he relies on me to look after and care for him #mademecry

I purchased the antibiotics and left with my head hanging low.

TIME TO FIGHT FROM WITHIN –

I was already giving the Boys Omega-3 along with Coconut oil. I’d ran out of the Dandelion and Milk Thistle and hadn’t replenished. However, this time I felt we needed something else, something more.

I remembered hanging on to a pamphlet about Ultra Oil for Pets. I found it and contacted Tony Klabunde…

SO WHAT MAKES THIS OIL DIFFERENT? –

The Hempseed!

Ultra Oil for Pets is composed of the best nutrients nature can provide. Their primary ingredient “Hempseed Oil” is the perfect balance of Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9.

Added Omega-6 rich Flaxseed Oil balanced with Omega-3 rich Fish Oil followed by Grapeseed Oil acts as an all natural antioxident.

Combining the Omega-9 (Hempseed oil) with the Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids for pets results in healthy skin and shining coats. In addition to – heart, healthy, immunity and overall organ function #bazinga

Omega’s 3-6-9’s work better in combination with one another and the three Omegas together are greater than each of the Omegas given independently. Source: Great Dane Lady

Doodle Doc gave me the 👍🏾and the oil arrived before he finished his ten days of antibiotics.

The antibiotics took care of the infection, and the scabs started to disappear not a moment too soon.

FUNNY STORY –

Remember when I purchased the wrong Coconut Oil?

Since “refined” coconut oil is good for skin conditions, I decided to rub it on Harley’s chest, back and stomach areas to help with the scabs. Not the “best idea” I’ve ever had.

Jaxson kept trying to sniff and lick him every chance he got…

ULTRA OIL FOR PETS

Tony Klauunde emailed me to check on Harley. He told me the Ultra Oil –

Can take 3-4 weeks for the deeper healing to take root.  Superficial changes such as glow  and moistening of coat, reduced shedding start within a couple days.

Sure enough – by the latter part of week three he no longer resembled a furry contortionist twisting his neck like a pretzel to nibble at the rear end of his back.

TO BE HONEST –

I was cautiously optimistic at first. I thought the reduction in scratching, licking and gnawing was due to the residuals of the antibiotics.

But the ten day pill popping has long been over, the scabs are gone, he’s not raining snow in the mornings when I brush him and we’re in the middle of week five using the Ultra Oil.

The bottle comes with a pump, so I’m able to manage the dosage. Three squirts in the morning and we’re ready to start our day…

ULTRA OIL FOR PETS

I still clean their paws once we’re back inside, and on occasion he will lick his paws, but not enough to send me back into a tizzy!

I have never heard of Ultra Oil before, but it sounds like great stuff! Ruby has all kind of itchiness.

Check with your vet, and see what he/she thinks. It’s been a blessing for Harley. Maybe it’s a natural alternative for Ruby too! Let us know.

We don’t have any allergies, but my mom has had seriously bad allergies her entire life, so she understands his pains. Despite not rolling around in the grass, grasses can make her sick too. She has found a human solution and is so happy. We are glad Harley is also happy now as we all know how miserable allergies can make a living creature!

Tell your Mom, my heart aches for her too. I’ve watched humans deal with allergies and it’s no joke. Sometimes they look absolutely miserable. Thank goodness you all have cold winters to help eradicate them each season. Harley’s coming along nicely – so I will continue with the Ultra Oil. But keep in mind it’s great for your coat, so ask your Mom to enter the give-away!

I’m so glad the Ultra Oil is working so well for Harley!! Allergies are miserable! Callie had them, too, during the fall months.

I remember how miserable Ducky was with her “allergies” before we found out that the natural stuff we were using as a flea deterrent wasn’t doing the job. Once the antibiotic cleared up her skin while the Bravecto fought off the fleas (and other pests), we had a much happier pup. The fleas around here are just too “hearty” to combat with natural sprays and wipes.

I was encouraged to switch to Bravecto the we moved here, fleas love Charleston too! The vet tech told me heart worms are also becoming an issue due to the fact so many pets parents are not vaccinating. They’ve asked me to write a post about this – stay tuned….

Thank you Cathy. Once again, this is excellent information to have. We are done with that one hot spot that Ziggy had, thank Goodness, but this Omega Oil is going to be added to our regime.

So happy to hear that the hot spot is gone. They can truly be annoying. Check with your vet Claudette, and if he/she gives you the green light, grab yourself a bottle. Jaxson’s coat is silky soft.

I’m so glad you’ve found something to help Harley from the inside! Heck, I didn’t even know that Omega 9’s were a thing, but the combination of that with the 3’s and 6’s sounds awesome!
We are lucky that we don’t deal with any allergies right now. Paws crossed. But if we ever do we’ll be looking this up!

Consider yourself super blessed JanK. I never dealt with allergies of any kind until moving here. Prayerfully once this Ultra Oil gets into his system he’ll be good as new and the itches will be a thing of our distant past!

Oh noooooo not the face itches 🙁 Harley still occasionally rubs his face on the carpet but I think all that sweating in all this heat makes him itchy. Paws crossed that Rafflecoptor selects your name. Have a great week.

    Hi Y’all!

As you may or may not remember, I have serious allergies. When my Human got me and the sores and itching kept comin’ back as soon as the antibiotics were finished, the vet suggested allergy tests. The blood was sent to a human lab and analysed. I’m 10 now and still get regular shots. Grass is one of the many things I’m allergic to. If I get an itchy sore I get relief from athlete’s foot spray that my Human can get in the dollar store.

    Good luck.

    Y’all come on by,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

Hawk – I am so sorry to hear you’ve got those nasty allergies too! So far – no signs of any more sores, but I’m watching. I also have continued wiping his feet and spraying them daily when we come inside from a romp in the backyard. Keeping paws crossed that you and Harley are able to overcome these allergies.

Ultra oil? Sounds ultra healthy! 😀
I think omega 3, 6 and 9 are so important and beneficial for dogs but many dog parents forget about adding to their diet.
Ultra oil sounds like a great supplement! <3
Rolling on the grass is ultra fun by the way! 😀

I am so happy with the natural relief it has given Harley, I intend to use it daily! You’re right, now rolling in the grass is once again ultra fun!

Mr. N has a flea allergy which drives him crazy occasionally. We’ve tried straight fish oil which is a little rich for him, I think. I wonder if this would be better for him?

    • Cathy Bennett
      August 18, 2016

I would certainly ask your vet – and if he says yes, I would take advantage of the discount and order a bottle. The three omega oils seem to work best when in a threesome. We went to the beach for today, lot’s of sand fleas, pine straw, heat and humidity. Harley did great! Very little scratching and paw nibbling. Let me know if you try it – paws crossed for my dear little Mr. N.

      August 22, 2016

I see improvement everyday. I did notice some paw nibbling (not a lot) the other day. Harley was racing and romping on damp fresh cut grass in the backyard. I now want to find the right “wipe” for them so I can get back in the habit of using them when we come inside from the backyard. Do you use any? Looking for recommendations my friend.
