Last week, I ran around like a crazy lady. Up with the sun, working like a Keebler Elf #rememberthem? well after midnight. Exhausted but super excited, I’d dance the doodle shuffle past the Boys singing my made up song – “it’s moving time” pretending to be an R&B Artist with a new single.
Jax ran, romped, and jumped over the chaos of boxes, bubble wrap and packing paper all day long. He remained carefree and clueless. #myman
Unfazed about the changes around him, he took on the ambassador role showing Gabriella how much fun she could have in her new backyard…
Harley on the other hand stayed close. Real close! On top of 25 lbs of packing paper close!!
Either he wanted to –
- make sure I didn’t leave him behind
- or doodlecott the whole “move” thing
Pawhaps a little siesta on packing paper is really comfy to a doodle 🙂
What do you think?
I am proud to say, we successfully made our “move out” deadline and took I95 southbound before dawn with the cars crammed tight…
This is our contribution in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop. Get comfy and check out the other Blog Hop posts below!

WOW! That car is packed! I bet some dog just didn’t want to be left behind. I cannot imagine a nap on the packing paper being all that comfy.
September 23, 2015
We are excited to see your new digs! Happy unpacking!
September 23, 2015
Congratulations on the big move. Hope you settle into SC quickly.
September 23, 2015

Your new backyard looks beautiful, Cathy! Harley looked a little overwhelmed with all the change and wanted to stay close to Mom, but I’m sure he’ll be running around and celebrating your new place in no time!
September 23, 2015
Good luck with the move! I’m happy to see a new post and I will never get tired of your hashtags. They always make me smile.
Kisses.
September 25, 2015
Thanks girlfriend! Hashtags make me giggle. It’s like seeing your thoughts in print #itsthelittlethings Let’s talk soon.
September 23, 2015
Happy moving, and best of luck! Exciting times lay ahead for you!
September 25, 2015
Thanks Earl

Enjoy your new adventure. Nothing like where the “living is easy”. We’re working on our home on the island for our leisure days!
September 25, 2015
Oooh, a home on an island for leisure sounds divine. We love it here and so we’re still excited about finally calling Charleston home!
September 23, 2015
Good luck in your new home. I’m sure both dogs will settle in and enjoy smelling a new area.
September 25, 2015
They have been walking around a lot with their heads down lately Sharon – LOL
September 23, 2015
Good luck with the move, unpacking and the transition with the doddles! I know moving isn’t on my favorite things to do list! That car is packed! Where will the doodles go?
September 25, 2015
We will once again have more fun #thisissarcasism next week when we start unpacking. Harley should be happy to see his personal belongings again!
September 23, 2015
Oh my gosh, I’ve gotten behind on my reading and I didn’t know you were moving – how exciting! I did remember you’ve been wanting to so I’m very happy for you that it’s all come true.
I can’t wait to hear how the boys settle in. We’re thinking about selling our current house too and moving to something smaller (in our same area though), and I worry about how the pets are going to take it.
Safe travels and have fun with unpacking!
September 25, 2015
Hi Jan – don’t fret, everything happened so quickly – my neighbors were surprised. We were blessed that the house sold so fast. And all during the week of our daughter’s wedding here in Charleston on the beach! All is well, and I am learning to take everything in stride. Look for more posts about their transition with a new world – groomers, vets, neighbors, four legged friends, etc…. Should be an interesting series! Have a great weekend.
September 23, 2015
Best of luck in your new home. Back yard looks awesome, I’m sure Harley will come around once he gets to run around.
Best of luck in your new place,
Paws & Wags
Suzanne
September 25, 2015
Thanks Suzanne. That is the yard of the home we sold! It was a great yard for the Boys all year round. Fun in the winter stomping up and down the snow covered hill. We will miss it. We will keep everyone posted as we scout out our new Doodleville. Thanks for stopping by…Have a great weekend.
September 23, 2015
Moving is soo exciting!! Can’t wait to hear about your new place!
September 25, 2015
Yes we’re excited (well all of us except Harley) – looking for a temporary home is a challenge when all I’m interested in is a fenced in yard! Doodle Dad and the Realtor can’t seem to figure me out!
September 23, 2015
Best of lucks! Looking forward to the new adventures in the new place! All the best to the entire Family under close supervision of Harley and Jax.
September 25, 2015
Close supervision is right Alessandra! LOL
September 23, 2015
Have a safe move! I can’t wait to see the new digs!
September 24, 2015
Thanks MK – this is house hunting week #prayforus
September 23, 2015
Awww. It’s so cute that Harley wanted to be involved. Moving is hard for pets. They love so much for things to always be the same and never change. Humans aren’t much better. LOL I’m glad that you are into your new home. 🙂
September 24, 2015
Hey Robin, haven’t moved in yet – still looking. I’m keeping them closer than usual until our belongings arrive. Harley’s fine as long as he’s close enough to see me LOL They’ve been real troopers!
September 23, 2015
Oh, sometimes the pups get a little worried when they see us packing, don’t they? Whether for a move or a trip. Hope you had a safe drive and that you get settled in quickly in your new home!
September 24, 2015
Jackie, Jax was no where near concerned about anything. Harley seems to have done more of the worrying for the both of them 🙂 He’s doing fine. I make sure they are both with us all the time until we are all moved in and they have their “stuff’ around them.
September 23, 2015
Hope things are going well your way 🙂
September 24, 2015
Hi Ann – Things are moving along well. The Boys are really doing well. I can tell they miss their “stuff” so I’m trying to keep them busy.
September 23, 2015
What a fun and exciting adventure! Thank you for sharing!
WOOF!

Hey Dee – I guess you will just have to motor on down to Charleston for an extended visit. We’ll leave the porch light on for you 🙂
