KURGO ZIPPY BOWL AT THE RESTON PET FIESTA

Spring is finally here! Can’t tell you how happy we are to be “out and about” without snowsuits, boots and winter gear. We’ll take the pollen for now, just as long as the sun continues to shine.

Saturday the weather was simply “Doodle*licious” and a trip to the Reston Pet Fiesta was the pawfect place to be! We try to go every year and we’re never disappointed…

1

This human is “special” not everybody gets to hold “Wilson”

It’s an outdoor festival showcasing local businesses, and animal rescue groups with an entire day of activities, demonstrations and animals galore. They also provide onstage entertainment, face painting and caricature artists. It’s just a great day for pets, kids – the whole family!

I think I’ve mastered the art of “Doodle-dar.” In a matter of seconds amongst a gazillion animals I found two of the cutest doodles posing on a street corner with their Doodle Dad…

2

The intersection became Doodle HQ’s in minutes and we instantly drew a crowd…

3

I have no clue what they’re all looking at!

I love coming to this event because the streets are closed and there’s so many friendly pets and people to spend the day with…

After a couple of hours it was time to take a much needed water break, AND test out our new Kurgo Zippy Bowl. Can I say – “I love this little bowl”

Zip and go with this super-convenient dog bowl

This classic styled clutch just unzips and BAZINGA…you’ve got an instant portable dog bowl. It’s lightweight, comes in a durable fabric and makes a great pet accessory…

It’s BPA free, holds 48 oz of liquid, and only costs $10.00.

Once you’re done – zip it up and it fits anywhere: your purse, your back pocket, or use the safety snap to hook it wherever! To gage its convenient size, check it out next to my cell phone…

After our water break, it was back to the Fiesta. Vendors, furry furrends and lot’s of children…

6

I was speechless when we stopped at the “Newfoundland” rescue booth. I’ve never really been that close to a group of big dogs before. They are beautiful, magnificent creatures. But make no mistake – they are big. I loved watching them move…

7

I now have a better appreciation for our blogging furrend Jen, and her Boys – Leroy and Sherman of MY BROWN NEWFIES!

We had a really wonderful afternoon, it couldn’t have been better. Well, with one exception…

During the April Blogging Challenge, I met many incredible human beings who are creative and extraordinary bloggers. Two of them are local:

They were at the Fiesta, and they found one another, but I missed them both :(…

8

Maybe next time ladies…

Poor Emmy wrote later that evening on FB:

“Cathy I asked at least three women with Goldendoodles, “Are you Cathy?” I would have loved to meet you.”

Whenever we’re out, our departure time is “cued” from Harley & Leo. They let us know when they’ve had enough. Their signals are always obvious. You know it’s time to go if Leo abandons “Wilson” or Harley lays out in the middle of the street. On this day both Boys gave us signs…

9

…so we left 🙂

In full disclosure: I was not compensated for this Kurgo review. I was given a Zippy Bowl for The Boys to try. All opinions are my own, swayed only by Harley & Leo’s tail wagging approval!

Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts for all your support, comments, and completed homework assignments during our first attempt at the A to Z April Blogging Challenge. You helped us make it – therefore we’re all survivors…

10

Stay tuned, and logged in for more whimsical adventures of Harley & Leo….

Me too Jessica – But between reading each other’s blogs and our FB groups we’ll more than likely plan to attend a local event and get another shot at meeting each other. I’m sure of it…

Jen, your boys have my boys by several pounds 🙂
It was so nice seeing them in person – they seem so gentle and docile. It made me feel as if I’d finally met Leroy and Sherman.

Hi Kelvin – The Boys loved our chance meeting as well. Reston Pet Fiesta was a blast wasn’t it. Don’t be strangers – stop by the blog again soon. We’ll post more upcoming events and perhaps we can “meet-up” again.
