I love the Christmas holidays, and Christmas Doodle holidays – are like multi colored sprinkles on top of your favorite ice cream cone.

I took Harley and Jaxson Christmas shopping with me and let me tell you – they make pawfect shopping buddies.  With them in tow, I never have to wait long for a sales person to assist me.

I was looking for a “Charleston” themed gift for someone, so we went to Ducaba’s Jewelry. Even though Jaxson wasn’t much help choosing the right gift…

He and Harley made the owners day – so much so, he took their photo in his own shop!…

Sunglasses are always a good gift here in the Low Country, no matter the month, the sun will come out – so I stopped in the Sunglass Hut…

I couldn’t find what I wanted but the sales person tried really hard to sell “them” a pair of shades. #doodletrendsetters

They weren’t interested…

My daughter arrived on Tuesday, and Jaxson has been her shadow. He won’t leave her side…

She hasn’t seen Jaxson in months, he’s older, bigger and OWNS his personality. Watching his antics has kept her entertained – like the night it took her hours to fix her bed sheets…

He wouldn’t stop playing…

Realizing she’d never win, she gave up and they both found their spots for the evening…

THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT –

I’ve not done much shopping this year, my decorations are minimal. But my heart is full. I’m ecstatic that my son’s arrive on Friday, and there will be continuous laughter and tails wagging as we fellowship together for several days.

I’ve been watching the Christmas classics on television this month, and I think this year my favorite quote comes from the “green guy” when he said –

Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas …perhaps … means a little bit MORE. #thegrinch
