 Getting Schooled…Doodle Style

Today Harley is focusing on the letter…

B

And that word is:

BABALAAS

babəlas

NOUN

Definition: the after-effects of drinking an excess of alcohol.

Harley’s sentence:  By morning the atmosphere was fuzzy with BABALAAS. Wwaaayyyy too much of everything last night – Geez this step is cold and uncomfortable…

Hahaha and welcome to A to Z Challenge! We have a similar dog. Not a drinking dog but a Maltese Poodle mix. Thanks for the laugh.

Erin, we were invited to attend the Human Society’s “Sugar & Champagne” event earlier this year. Harley was so excited, he mingled with EVERYBODY. Towards the end of the evening when I looked for him he was passed out on the steps totally unaware or concerned about the 900+ people and 400+ pups in the ballroom. He looked the part, so I had to share the pic. Glad it made you laugh.

Another word that is new to me. Is this one real?

    • Cathy Bennett
      April 2, 2014

Yes it’s real, I wouldn’t make any of them up, I promise. It’s origin comes from Africa, and if I used it as an adjective it would mean: hung over….
      I think you’ll love the letter C 🙂

So that’s what it’s called. I don’t think I could pronounce it in the state it defines! I hope Harley recovers quickly. He sure looks lovely among those red flowers!

Hi Jeanette – Harley was worn out. He was so excited the entire evening, and at the last hour he crashed. Poor thing 🙁 But it was a great fund raiser and we all had a great time. Bu the does look like he had one too many…

Thanks DashLilly. Your labradoodles are precious. Are they close in age? Harley is actually two years older than Leo and 50 lbs lighter too! Thanks for stopping by…. Keep on reading, more letters to come 🙂
