The Groovy Goldendoodles are blogging from A to Z this month. If you’re not sure just “what in the doodle” we’re doing, don’t fret, click here where you can dig up the dirt on our little alphabet pawty.
Today is Leo’s day and he is focusing on the letter…
And his word is:
CHAPEAU
SHaˈpō|
NOUN
Definition: a hat or cap
Leo’s sentence: I love nothing more than “styling & profiling” in my ole man’s CHAPEAU.
• This is the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge
• No homework today, be back with the letter D tomorrow….

Hi Julie – welcome to Doodleville 🙂 Yesterday we found the other dog bloggers – whew! it made it much easier to locate all our FURRends. I still try and check out others in the entire list. I’m loving this challenge and all the creativity in such PAWsome writing. So happy to hear that you are enjoying our vocabulary journey, please stick around, more words with pictures to come.

If there’s ever a GQ Magazine for dogs, we want to be on it!!!
April 3, 2014
This one is kind of scary as it sounds like shampoo which means bath, which means I better run like I see a wabbit!
April 3, 2014
Emma, come to think of it – it sure does. Especially if you put a little European accent along with it. But have no fear, no baths here, at least not today!
April 3, 2014
I love Leo in that hat he should be on the cover of GQ magazine for goldendoodles!!!!
April 3, 2014
We couldn’t agree more Yvonne. Go ahead, send them letter along with the photo. Leo will let you represent him 🙂
April 3, 2014
Yeah, a word I know! This is a fun challenge.
April 3, 2014
You go Slim!!!!
We’re all having some fun with this challenge….
April 3, 2014
There’s a hat store near my day job that I love. The hats are super expensive, but I love them and I want to treat myself to one some day.
April 3, 2014
Fur Mom, do what we do, we try them on, take photos and feel as if we’ve spent a mint 🙂 but we still have $$ for treats later…
April 3, 2014
Loving it! My Dash is 7 years old today. Lilly will be 6 in June. Dash is 40 pounds and Lilly is 50 pounds. We don’t tell Dash he is the smallest … we call him the Big Guy!
Have a doodle day!
April 3, 2014
Happy Birthday Dash!!! Hope you have a Doodle*tastic birthday. Do something special, then make sure you tell everybody all about it!!
April 3, 2014
What a fancy word for hat! Matches your fancy wardrobe :).
April 3, 2014
Why thank you very much Erin!!! Can’t wear it when Doodle Dad is around 🙁
April 3, 2014
I love a good chapeau! Especially on my dogs! Or my chickens. Or my ducks. Y’know – if the hat fits …
April 3, 2014
…wear it! You got that right Flea!!!
April 3, 2014
Pure class! Jaunty!
April 3, 2014
“Jaunty” we like that word Karl – will definitely put it to good use in the future: thank you 🙂
April 3, 2014
Now Luna just needs to find her own Chapeau to join in the fun!
April 3, 2014
Luna Girl – we see you in a small pastel derby slightly tilted to the side! You could definitely rock that 🙂
April 3, 2014
When I saw that word I just knew there would be an adorable photo to match! I have a massive vintage chapeau collection… and the last time I wore one was about five years ago. Thanks for doing a word I knew. I’m sure that won’t happen often this month.
April 4, 2014
Oh ye of little faith Bethany. I PAWmise you there will be other words that you will recognize. Just you wait. My daughter would love a vintage collection of hats. She is a huge Audrey Hepburn fan, and loves to wear the same style hat Audrey wore in all of her films.

Where did Leo learn to speak French?
April 4, 2014
Hi Pamela – Rosetta Stone tapes 🙂
April 4, 2014
I stopped in my tracks when I saw your post title, “Chapeau”… my husband wrote an essay a few weeks ago about his time in Paris, where he lived when he was much younger, way before he met me. The title of his essay is also “Chapeau” !! LOL!! Small world, gettin’ smaller!
April 4, 2014
OMD Kathy, that is funny. Did you tell him about Leo’s word today?
April 4, 2014
Woohoo! A word I already knew! Love the hat picture! Looks like it works nicely to keep the sun out of his eyes.
April 4, 2014
Look at you Mary – you go girl 🙂 Unfortunately the hat was on unofficial and unapproved loan from the ole man. Leo loves hats, but that one wasn’t going very far on his head!
Thanks for reading, please come back…
April 4, 2014
Looking very cool, Leo. My Trudy would have eaten the hat.
April 4, 2014
Nooooo, we can’t believe Trudy would do such a thing.
April 4, 2014
Thats one classy Dawg 🙂
April 4, 2014
Why thank you pink socks – hats are my thangggg – Leo 🙂
