Sunday “official”  ignited my Christmas in Charleston excitement…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

We took the Boys to the City of Charleston Holiday Parade. Before the parade we walked around Marion Square, making friends…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

in various sizes…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

Vendors, Christmas trees, kettle corn, and festive music made me feel like a kid again.

Harley waited at Santa’s door thinking someone “might” let him in #toofunny

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

ONCE THE PARADE BEGAN –

Harley and Doodle Dad (parade veterans) took a seat away from the action…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

Not Jax – He wiggled his way inch by inch to the edge of the curb like the children. In fact he befriended and shared space with a little girl and they watched the parade for almost two hours – together…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

I’m not kidding…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

I’ve known for a while that Jaxson likes music #truestories

He’s been known to stop playing with a toy for certain commercial jingles. So when the local high school band marched by, I was the only one in the crowd who didn’t marvel at his attentiveness…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

Animated beyond his #doodledreams – he couldn’t help himself when the mascot walked by, he ran out to the parade for a hug…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

NEXT YEAR –

The Boys and I are going to participate in the parade. Not sure what we’ll do – walk, ride, run, who knows. I only know after seeing these guys and pups in the parade…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

Everyone is welcome!

Who knew there was a Basset Hound Club? #supersweet

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

Honored to have so many groups request photos with the Boys…

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON

Yep – It’s officially Christmas season, and I for one plan to enjoy each and everyday.

CHRISTMAS IN CHARLESTON –

Since you can’t be here with us to experience Christmas in Charleston – we’d like to share it virtually. Check out …

Love it!! What a great day! And I bet you will be in the parade next year — you are a woman who sets her eyes on something and makes it happen!

Please tell your mom when she comes she’s got to bring the two of you. I think we could convert you to the “Two Charleston Bulldogs!”

That looks like so much fun! I would have been of the crowd marveling that Jaxson sat to watch the parade so attentively.
I’m sure you and your boys will be so happy to represent in the parade next year! Maybe Jaxson would like to march to some music too? 🙂

I was thinking the same thing Jan, since he loves music so much perhaps we’ll attach ourselves to one of the high school bands!

Wow, that looks like a lot of fun! (Pretty sure Rita would hate a parade. If that dog-costumed person came at her, I’m pretty sure there’d be a lot of embarrassing barking!)

What fun for you guys to be in it next year!

I was supper surprised Jaxson approached the man in the dog costume myself! He never ceases to amaze me.
