The Groovy Goldendoodles are blogging from A to Z this month. If you’re not sure just “what in the doodle” we’re doing, don’t fret, click here where you can dig up the dirt on our little alphabet pawty.
Today Harley is focusing on the letter…
And that word is:
ATARAXIC
atəˈraksik
ADJECTIVE
Definition: a state of serene calmness.
Harley’s sentence: I stayed in an ATARAXIC mood all afternoon hanging out on a park bench last Spring with the Easter Bunny…
- This is the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge
- No homework today, be back with the letter B tomorrow….

Slim Doggy, we know for sure you’re going to graduate from the “Getting Schooled- Doodle Style” vocabulary class with flying colors!!! PS: We learned a bunch about Alfalfa from you too!
April 1, 2014
What kind of doodle uses a word like that ? Doodles are easy talkers. I think Leo, and Wilson, put Harley up to using an ostentatious word, to impress that bunny !
April 1, 2014
Ssshh Sheila, it was “Wilson” he’s the brainiac in the family, but we try not to tell people. Hang out with us this month – he’s got some really cool words to share, plus photos…. Thanks for reading 🙂
April 1, 2014
This is a new word to me! Boy I’m already on a roll… I learned the word Clowder for my blog post! I’m going to be so wise after reading all 26 of your posts!

Bethany is the star for today, she’s the first one to use our word in a sentence: YEAHHHHH Bethany 🙂

April 2, 2014
What a great word! I’ve never heard it before but I think it will be my word of the day today LOL.
April 2, 2014
BOL – That’s too cool for doodle school. When you use it, come back and share it. Would love to see your sentence. Thanks for stopping by, we’re on our way to your place now!
April 2, 2014
I love this idea, and love that new word! My only question is, if “ataraxy” is a noun, shouldn’t the word “mood” be dropped? As used above, it reads like an adjective.
April 2, 2014
Hi Amanda – Maybe… I played around with the sentence and the tense a few times.
Great looking out, nice to meet you too 🙂
April 4, 2014
Haha! That a very big word and now I know what it means! Love the picture of Harley hangin with the Easter Bunny!
April 4, 2014
It was a comical scene, all the other dogs were frightened and skittish. When it was Harley’s turn to get his picture taken, he just hopped up there. the Easter Bunny felt so much better because he was beginning to get a complex since the other dogs weren’t interested in sitting with him.
