Harley here – with the first of hopefully “many” of my very own movie remakes.
It’s no secret that I like love to ride in the car. Whenever that woman grabs her keys, I take off like a jet towards the front door. On a few occasions they’ve even tried to leave me behind – “It ain’t happening!”
It doesn’t matter where they’re headed – I’ll go anywhere. It’s like the motto to my name “Harley” (as in Davidson) “it’s not about the destination – it’s about the journey!” #heynow
The other day (as he was holding the door open for me), I overheard Doodle Dad mention to our neighbor – when he drives me around I sit in the back like “Ms. Daisy.”
At the time I hadn’t the doodliest idea who Ms. Daisy was – but then came a serendipitous encounter! Doodle Mom and I watched a portion of the movie cuddling together in the recliner.
Shut the Doodle door! Right then and there I had my first “ah-ha” moment – I could be a movie star! I began to see myself in the movie remake! Billboards everywhere…
I needed a co-star! The first thing I did was DM‘d Morgan Freeman on Twitter. I outlined my concept to the doodle best of my abilities in less than 146 characters. Still waiting for him to respond. My back up plan is to use Doodle Dad. Hold up! I know what you’re thinking. Although he’s no box office draw – he does have that deep voice, besides, who knows – debuting him this time could jump start me into my next remake: “A Star is Born” #Imonaroll
So, until I hear a “yea” or “nay” from Mr. Freeman, I shall continue with my production schedule and shoot as much footage as I can – alone 🙁 Here’s a short trailer featuring my very first acting debut…
Excited about the premiere aren’t you? Got any favorite flicks you’d like to see me remake? Let me know. grab me now before I “blow-up.”

Great Slim, if you think of one that you’d like to see, hit us back, we’ll put it in the cue BOL
December 3, 2014
OMD! That’s brilliant! Now, all you need is for one of the cars you pull up next to to roll down their window and offer you some Grey Poupon! BOL I was waiting for that to happen with the white car…that would have been classic!
Happy WW
Oz
December 3, 2014
Oz, you crack me up! That is so true, I’d forgotten all about those commercials. I looked at Harley’s video again, and you are spot on – it would have been a classic had I thought of it! Too funny!
December 3, 2014
A star IS born! Well done. We just watched that movie too! But yours is much better. I think you should do a rendition of Easy Rider next!!
December 3, 2014
Oh Dash & Lilly, Harley would love to remake that one. He loves to sit on my Harley lowrider! Just got to get his leather gear ready. Stay tuned…

It’s been many years since I’ve seen Driving Miss Daisy but wasn’t she a cranky old racist? I think you’ve already gotten her beat, Harley.
I’m a very big fan of remaking movies with dogs. Here are a few I’d like to suggest:

Oh My Doodle Pam, can’t wait to review your list. Harley’s movie remakes may have to become a monthly regular….
December 5, 2014
Oh, please do!
December 5, 2014
Pam, from the over whelming response (I love comments!) I believe we will throw one on the website every 6 weeks or so. Harley’s gone Hollywood or “woof” pawhaps! Take care, hugs, licks and paw pats to Harley’s cousin Honey (on his mother’s side!).

It’s one of the all time classics Talent Hounds – always sucks you right in…
December 3, 2014
I loved this post! It made me laugh. I suggest that Harley star in his own version of Annie (in place of Sandy). With the box office remake about to debut, the timing is pawfect!
December 3, 2014
OH Amanda, happy to know we put a smile on your face today! We’ve got that one (Annie) in the cue. Stay tuned!

Definitely a Christmas movie. Christmas Carol? The Grinch?
December 3, 2014
Hummmm, haven’t thought about a Christmas movie – will keep that one in mind – Thanks Mr. N.
December 3, 2014
You look very regal sitting in the back seat being chauffeured around. I often feel like I’m in the same movie with my dog.
December 3, 2014
Sharon, I’m beginning to think we (you and I) are not alone….
December 3, 2014
Car rides, sigh, you are so right! Love Dolly
December 3, 2014
So you like to ride in the car too huh Dolly?
December 3, 2014
You seem to be enjoying the ride quite well! Bailie and I ride in the back of the SUV and like to look out the back window at where we have been and we like to stare at the people behind us when we are at a red light!
December 3, 2014
Emma, Harley and Leo used to ride in the back but I got worried with all this DC traffic that I wouldn’t be able to keep them safe if we got hit from behind. I’m sure he misses it, so now he looks out from the side 🙂
December 3, 2014

December 3, 2014
How cute! You clearly were made for this role! Mom says she loved that movie when she was young!
December 4, 2014
Looks like a nice drive Harley!
December 4, 2014
I think that’s a great idea – Go for it! I’m sure Morgan will get back to you shortly, he’s probably busy shooting a Christmas movie!
December 4, 2014
That was classic! Star Wars should be next. He could be a Jedi 🙂
December 4, 2014
HA! Why am I not surprised Doodle Daughter that “Star Wars” would be your recommendation for a Harley movie remake! 🙂
