Undivided Attention: when a person is completely paying attention to one thing, and only one thing. Hence their attention is not divided.
Jax was looking for some undivided attention the other day while playing with his ball…
When he wasn’t getting it – he tried to appease himself by playing alone. Unfortunately that didn’t amuse him very long…
Not ready to come inside, he chose to remain in the backyard – alone…
But the ball was on the other side of the screened in porch…
WHAT’S A DOODLE TO DO? –
Get his ball himself of course…
By any means necessary #Malcolmdoodle…
We’ve now banned cell phone use in the backyard…
IF WE MADE YOU SMILE – THEN SHARE US WITH A FRIEND 🙂
This is our contribution in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Playing alone is pretty boring. I totally understand, Jax.
January 20, 2016
Oh he’ll play alone all day long Emma, but he has to have his beloved ball to do it 🙂
January 20, 2016
He is showing initiative and ingenuity, you have to admit… LOL!
January 20, 2016
I thought so Alessandra – Doodle Dad disagreed. But the upside is – he learned how to replace/repair a screen 🙂
January 20, 2016
Smart boy and knows how to problem solve! Well done. ღ
January 20, 2016
HA! That’s not quite what Doodle Dad said when he saw the screen but it was exactly what I was thinking!
January 20, 2016
BOL – too cute!
January 20, 2016
I thought so – but Lee (Doodle Dad) wasn’t as amused. #ohwell
January 20, 2016
Ahhh! Adorable!
January 20, 2016
Thanks Earl 🙂
January 20, 2016
whoops, I love it! He’s a smarty pants!
January 20, 2016
I loved it too – but I was of the minority among humans here in Doodleville LOL Although I did hear Doodle Dad bragging about how “resourceful” Jax was to one of his buddies over the telephone #busted
January 20, 2016
Well, that was super clever, Jax. Nice work!
January 20, 2016
You, Jax, Harley & I thought so, but not Doodle Dad #headedtoLowes
January 20, 2016
Oh no!! Hahahahaha!
January 20, 2016
My sentiments exactly! You’ve just got to find humor in stuff like this. Unfortunately Doodle Dad didn’t #ohwell
January 20, 2016

January 21, 2016
That’s all I could do too Rebekah – laugh…..
January 20, 2016
Oh my goodness what a smart pup! That’ll teach those distracted humans a lesson haha.
January 21, 2016
That’s right Vanessa – I’m going to make a sign by the backdoor – “Please turn off your cell phone before entering the backyard!” LOL
January 20, 2016
You did more then make me smile, I was literally BOL!!! Love it! 🙂
January 21, 2016
Well Spencer, you all are family right? Harley seemed amused when it happened also 🙂
January 21, 2016
haha. I bet he was pleased with himself!
January 21, 2016
Chest out like the NBC Peacock Jackie LOL
January 21, 2016
Oh no! At least he knows how to get what he wants, I suppose… you are quite the handful Jax!
January 21, 2016
Yes Ann, he is truly a “one of a kind”

January 21, 2016
Those cell phones sure do distract us from life! They are both a blessing (safety in case of emergencies) and a curse!
January 21, 2016
That’s the TRUTH – the WHOLE truth – nothing but the DOODLE truth. That’s why we’ve banned them from the backyard! LOL
January 21, 2016
Ruh-roh! Jax is a creative thinker and problem solver 😉
January 21, 2016
Well that’s one way of looking at it Tiffany LOL I did end up with a few of the old screens repaired and replaced so I was secretly thrilled. Thanks for stopping by.
January 21, 2016
What a beautiful, smart dog! I love yours! I’m so glad to be connecting to pet bloggers!
January 21, 2016
Thank you so much – please feel free to take a little virtual ownership of Harley & Jax and come back anytime.
January 21, 2016
JAX!!!!! you silly boy. Dash once went through a temporary fence in the back yard — to go see a friend on the other side. I swear it looked like a cartoon — you could see the outline of his body in the fence — BAM!! off he went. Oh these bad, but adorable boys…
January 21, 2016
Now that’s a photo I would have PAID to see! Too funny these doodle boys.
January 21, 2016
Oh no! That’s a real oopsie-doodle moment! I think I would ban cell phones too. Hopefully Jax got the attention he was looking for after all of that!
January 21, 2016
Oh you can bet your sweet Doodle he did! He’s numero uno when we’re in the backyard now LOL
January 21, 2016
Nice problem solving skills!
January 22, 2016
Oh Mr. N. let’s not encourage him #please
January 21, 2016
i guess a doodle’s gotta do, what a doodle’s gotta do, to get his ball. i would have loved to see a video of his thought process and execution!
January 22, 2016
I need one of those pet video camera’s for Jaxson Bailey. He could entertain us for hours.
January 21, 2016
LOL at Jax and #MalcolmDoodle! You soon start to think if you are training them or they are training you. I’m sure the balls/toys will be put else where next time. lol
January 22, 2016
Oh most def! All outdoor balls come into the laundry room now. Jaxson is certainly training us these days. He’s a little rascal. #fursure
January 22, 2016
Hahahaha! Jax reminds me so much of Leroy with his antics!
January 23, 2016
So you feel my pain then Jen? You know why I drink wine daily too! He certainly keeps me on my toes – that’s for sure!
January 25, 2016
Oh….whoops! Luke likes to get undivided attention too, and I imagine any of the crew might do the same thing in determination to get a ball!
January 26, 2016
Well we certainly learned our lesson about not paying attention to him when there’s a ball around!
January 29, 2016
Ohmygosh! Hahaha! Thankfully Storm just sleeps if I don’t pay attention to her but she has always had a hard time playing with herself. I suppose it doesn’t help that I would always play with her whenever she wanted to play with a toy. 🙂
January 29, 2016
Yep – Jenny you fall into that same category that I was in, playing with them. Now the expectation is there – “Hey – you – human – come play with me” LOL
