PETBOX REVIEW | WRITTEN BY HARLEY

“Collar me flattered” today because Doodle Mom said I could write this PETBOX review.

But before I get to the goodies, DM thought since this is our very first time receiving a PETBOX, it would be appropriate to address some pupular questions – like…

 Who is PetBox?

A group of humans who love pets and wanted to help other humans (who love pets) discover healthy, premium brands at below retail prices.  *that right there got DM’s attention!

 How is PetBox Different?

YOU the pet parent choose the items that go into your monthly box. You fill out a pet profile and the products are tailored to the needs of your furry family furrend. And if you want, you have the option to be “surprised” each month with a collection of products chosen by the PETBOX team.

 How Does PetBox Give Back?

PETBOX feeds a rescue animal for each box shipped and they partner with shelters and rescue programs throughout the country. Teamed up with BOGO Bowl they supply hundreds of pounds of food to shelters and rescues each week. DM thought this was just plain Doodle*tastic.

So now let me tell you what came “in” my box…

blog

Many companies are making portable drinking bowls for us four legged critters and we have a few, but they’re all in the car. A few times we’ve been rolling around town with someone else and “oops” no bowl! I can manage pretty well drinking right out of the bottle, but Leo can’t seem to master that trick. That’s why I know we will put these portable/recyclable SLURPABOWLS to good use…

love the colors...

love the colors…

They’re compact, they fold flat, and they hold up to 2 cups of water. And check this out – they can clip to our leash – HELLO?

The box was crammed full with goodies, and of course I want to tell you about everything in it, so we bundled up a few and numbered them for your convenience *that was my idea!

2

1. SLURP’N FRESH Pet Oral Hygiene Solution Breath Freshener – Recommended by veterinarians to keep my breath clean and odor-free, reduce plaque and tartar formation. Odorless and safe, it can serve as a substitute for tooth and gum care. *DM said there are times when both Leo and I could use a breath freshener (so wrong).

2. PERFECT FORM from THE HONEST KITCHEN – This herbal digestive supplement can help support proper digestion and intestinal health for both cats and dogs. *We have an older furrend whose not eating too well, so we’re going to share this box with him (sharing is caring, right?)

3. HYDRO BALL by HUGSOH MY DOODLE, this little gizmo is so cool! Can’t wait to play with this in the yard. You fill it with water and – well why don’t you just watch this…

4. STEWY LOUIE BEEF STEW from RED BARN PET PRODUCTS – A recipe made with choice cuts of beef, real Red Barn Bully Sticks, fresh carrots, broccoli and potatoes. *I don’t think I’m gonna get to taste this lip smacking dish because I’ve got what you call a “sensitive stomach” dog-gone-it! But I’m sort of sweet on this cute little lab mix that lives across the street so I’ll give it to her #loverboydoodle

Now “Shut the Doodle Door” – when DM saw this TICK TWISTER she almost did a back flip! Tick infections are on the rise this year along with tick transmitted diseases. She’s always checking us out thoroughly, but I’m not so sure she had a plan if she found one. Well now she does. The Tick Twister is one of the most efficient tick removal tools on people, dogs, cats and even horses. See for yourself….

The twisting technique (rather than pulling) allows the user to remove the tick without leaving its mouthparts still attached and without compressing it, reducing the risk of the transmission of diseases. We’ve got two in our pack so one is more than likely going in the car…

When it comes to opening packages filled with all sorts of wonderful things, I’m no different than you. I’m bound to have a favorite. And in this box, my personal favorite – paws down…

The CHEDDAR CHEESE CRUNCH WOOFS

6

A microwaveable dog treat that comes in three flavors (Original Bacon & Peanut Butter). They’re low in fat, AND Doodle*licious. I loved eating them, and DM laughed out loud preparing them. She told her friend they reminded her of the Pork Rind Skins she used to eat. Check out my “before & after” photo…

7

To justify another chance to watch them “puff & grow” in the microwave, she used them as a training tool. We’re learning how to exercise “don’t touch” control…

this was pure torture...

this was pure torture…

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed my PETBOX review. I don’t know how she did it, but I hope “like the doodle” she does it again so we can get another one.

If you want to surprise your pet with a PETBOX – here’s what you do:

  1. Tell them about your pet
  2. Choose your plan
  3. Every 30 days choose the items or be surprised from their pet experts.

I was not compensated for this review. I was given a PETBOX for The Boys to try. All opinions are my own Harley’s, swayed only by Harley & Leo’s lip smacking and tail wagging approval !

Thanks for reading and make somebody smile today, tell them about The Boys 🙂

Emma, it’s going into the high 80’s this weekend so we’re definitely going to test the Hydro Ball out. Hope I can get some video footage. Hope you have a wonderful weekend too. Glad to hear you enjoyed Harley’s post – I’ll tell him when he gets home from camp.

Thanks so much for this information. I have to let you know I concur on several of the points you make here and others may require some further review, but I can see your viewpoint.
