MY FIRST CHRISTMAS

Since this was my first Christmas! Harley and Doodle Mom thought it was only fitting this post come from yours truly #collarmeflattered

By Thursday afternoon the house was full and the fun devildoodleish behavior had begun.

My human sister and I played a game with the ornaments and got in trouble when one almost broke #badinfluence

After breakfast on Christmas morning – we all sat around the tree (the one I couldn’t pee on) and for the first time EVER – I got to –

without getting in trouble #confuseddoodle

I loved my gifts. Extra strong “durable” toys the label said. Everyone’s praying I don’t kill these too #terminatordoodle

By mid morning we were beach strolling #newtraditions

I couldn’t believe it! They brought along a football..

With the sand under my feet and the warm salt air blowing between my ears – I didn’t think it could get any better…

IMG_0054

Until I nibbled on a little beach delicacy of straw and seaweed. The humans panicked, thought I was going to die, went in my mouth to retrieve it…

…and freedom as I once knew it was gone forever #flightrisk

I met a few friends, posed for a few pics and gave out a few business cards #hustlingdoodle

…Harley – on the other hand – scared his potential fans away…

I wasn’t allowed near the water – something about me not listening to commands. #saywhat? Yet it was one of the best days of my short 11.75 months of my life #sofar

Later that day Harley said I ruined our chances of getting any ice cream because I stole an undergarment #Ilovevictoriasecret

And we was right, we got #nada

But I’ll always cherish my first Christmas.

It was pawsome – spending it with Harley and our favorite humans…

Thanks JoAnn, I didn’t have anything to do with the tree – that was a daughter and a doodle creation!

It was Jen. Seemed surreal to this lifetime East Coast girl. I am so used to snow and cold, it was a pleasant change. How did “your” boys enjoy Christmas?

Thank you for this post. I was chuckling out loud at Mr Jakson’s anticks. This has been a Beautiful Holiday Season. It’s all over way too soon. But thanks again for the memories in pictures.

Girl – Jax will keep you howling like a Doodle for sure. He is comical 24/7. I agree with you – the holidays come and go so quickly. So happy we’ve got photos! How was your holiday?

A little misbehaving makes for even more fun memories. Katie used to eat beach delicacies all the time when we lived on the North Sea in Germany. She often got home and puked or had the run, but she kept finding treasures to eat. I think you need some snow to play in. No one eats the frozen stuff!

Emma – I don’t think there’s anything Jax won’t eat! He eats EVERYTHING!

You showed just how great it is to have such a warm Christmas day. Glad you enjoyed the beach.

Can’t wait to see what the Doodle Mom has planned for your birthday coming up.

But I don’t think I’ll tell Honey. Her birthday is in January too and I just know I could never do anything as fab as your family. #keepingupwiththedoodles

Since this was a bitter sweet Christmas Pamela (first w/o my mom) my daughter thought going to the beach on Christmas morning would be a great new tradition – and she was absoDOODLEtutely correct! I really didn’t plan anything out of the ordinary for Jaxson. I will give him some ice cream later and that’s about it. Everyday here in Doodleville is a birthday – so I don’t think he’ll mind too much. Happy New Year my friend.

Good for you Ann, sometimes you’ve got to take time for yourself. We had a wonderful time just because we were together. Family time is super special.
