Well, sort of…

It was 76 degrees that afternoon, I loved it!

The Boys on the other hand, clung to the shade…

I’m loving this holiday weather! #Charlestonliving

Even here in Virginia, it’s been pleasantly warm up until this dang rainy spell. On “Black Friday” we actually had lunch outdoors because it was that nice!

I know!!!!! When I spoke to friends over the holiday weekend they were telling me about the warm weather. We’ve had some rain the last couple of days here. What a drag….

    Finish decorating? ha!

Maybe we will get the tree up this weekend. We are always late to the party.

Hey Scott! If you get it up this weekend you’ll still be ahead of the game. The month is still early! I have faith in you my friend!

We have barely begun to decorate. We need to get on it!

Come on OZ – get to it. Once you start, you’ll find yourself getting into the mood and you’ll be finished in no time!

I’m almost all decorated!! It’s soo much fun!

Yes it is a lot of fun, but I dread having to put it all back when it’s over. Interesting how the same amount of “stuff” becomes such a ordeal when the festivities are over LOL

LOL. Looks like its’ beginning to look a lot like summer with those temps. We are mild up here in Chicago, too. Though not quite in 70’s, but warm for us.

Chi town like NY and VA seem to be staying relatively mild in comparison to years past. Hope it continues throughout the holidays. Have a great weekend.

Can we borrow about 10 of those degrees while we put up our Christmas lights outside? 76 sounds wonderful! 🙂

I could have sent it to you that day, because the next day it was GONE! We’re hovering around the 60’s right now.

I want to decorate this year, but I don’t think I will. #lazy

I always blame Rodrigo – he’ll pee on the tree. But we can get a smaller one and put it on the table, but we haven’t. Maybe I’ll get a faux one this year. #notlikely

I was afraid to decorate for fear of Jax dragging my tree through the house. I started putting the decorations up one at a time and watching him closely. So far, he’s not interested. Once the gifts go under the tree I can’t promise he’ll stay disinterested. I do know they sell a spray for the trunk of the trees that is supposed to discourage dogs from lifting their leg when they walk by #justsaying So go get mini “live” tree and place it on the table and get in the holiday spirit. 🙂

Now either you have shrunken the dog or you have jumbo lights! 76 right now would be so depressing for us. We are unhappy because it is in the 30’s. We are winter folks up here, but we are happy you all like the warmth.

    • Cathy Bennett
      December 4, 2015

Jumbo lights for sure Emma! My sister-in-law lives in MN and the entire family loves the winter weather. I can visit but it would be a hard adjustment for me to live there year round. Enjoy your snow my friend, the Boys and I will be at the beach!

Yay! We love decorating, too! I wish it was that warm here, it’s freezing here!

    • Cathy Bennett
      December 4, 2015

Well Lauren, my 76 degrees left the next day. It’s not nearly as cold as it was in VA so I am grateful for that. Try to stay warm and make sure you share some holiday photos with ZoePhee.

While you’re rolling in grass at 76 degrees, we love rolling in the snow at 32!

    • Cathy Bennett
      December 4, 2015

Vicki, there were days when I felt the same way, but after living in warm climates for so many years with the Army, once I got back to an area with 4 seasons, Winter was just too hard to adjust to. You’ll have to roll around one time just for me please!

That weather sounds marvelous! It is in the 40’s here. That is a lot better than some Decembers we’ve had, though! We haven’t even begun decorating yet. That will likely happen this weekend. 🙂

    • Cathy Bennett
      December 4, 2015

My friends in VA and my sister in NY both tell me that their weather is unusually warm too. I hope everyone gets a reprieve and are able to enjoy Christmas day. Have a great weekend Robin.

    76 degrees? I’m so jealous.

Since we’re stuck in Virginia for maybe another week waiting for a new propeller shaft etc. I haven’t been able to get into the Christmas spirit.

When the marina put a snow man and “frosty snow” hand soap in the bathroom, I felt like they were sticking it to me. #badattitude

But your Christmas light pic did stir something in me. Maybe I’ll draw a Christmas tree on our bulkheads and start hanging up the raffia fish ornaments I brought along.

Looking forward to seeing some great holiday pics with the boys. I’m sure you have something fun up your sleeve.

      December 4, 2015

I had no idea you were in VA. See, if I was still there, the Boys and I could have gotten you and Honey into the Christmas spirit. You’ve got to do something on the boat. You’ve got to start a tradition. This is your first Christmas living your dream. I’m counting on you to share something special. Once I bragged on the weather, it’s rained and the temperatures gone down 🙁

We’ve got a wind and rain advisory here in Washington state. If it’s not going to snow, I’ll take a sunny Christmas like I grew up with in Los Angeles.

    • Cathy Bennett
      December 4, 2015

Wow! Kari, from LA to Washington State – that’s what I call a real change. We’ll cross paws that you have a white Christmas 🙂 Please take tons of pics! Have a great weekend.

OK Mr. N. You’ve got to hurry up and show us some new photos of you and your holiday sweaters (I know you’ve got the them!) #fashionista

We’ve been having warmer weather – though not that warm – too. I’m still in process of putting up just a few decorations. With the house for sale, I’m keeping it simple this year. But I have to do something to keep me in the spirit!

    • Cathy Bennett
      December 4, 2015

I think any prospective buyer would be thrilled to get a sense of love coming from your decorations when they walk through. Do your thing Jan, and enjoy your holidays. Please don’t be discouraged – when you least expect it BAZINGA – the perfect family is out there.Happy Holidays
