With Doodle Day almost here, I’ve been keeping some late hours this week preparing for the “big day.”
Both Leo & Harley generally “retire” for the evening between 10:00-10:30pm, (I have early risers).
The last two nights, Harley (we’ll call him “the wise one”), showed his team spirit and extended his bedtime hour about an additional thirty minutes. But after 11:00pm, he would do a David Copperfield – “disappear” and then “reappear” curled up in his bed.
Not Leo! He hung in there with me as I worked well into (and after) the midnight-hour. Consequently, he’s been seriously napping during the day…
But hard work does pay off and I love it when a plan starts to come together! What “doodle delight” to have TWO surprises in one week:
- Olde Towne Pet Resort has a “kissing booth” for us to use as a photo prop…
- Remember WILLY THE GOLDENDOODLE? Well Willy and his NEW Pet Poppa are coming to the party…
So the next three days we have got “lots to do!”
On “Thursday” we’ve got to get our outfit together…
On “Friday” we’ll have to get a little cleaned up. There’s nothing worse than a dirty host…
On “Saturday night”, EVERYBODY (especially Leo) will have to turn in a little early…
And Sunday (after church of course) we will load up the “doodle mobile” with all the party goodies and head to OTPR…
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
Each quarter, the boys “author” a fun email newsletter (with a little help from their human staff). Grab some coffee, tea or a bottled water and enjoy a little DOODLE*LICIOUS.
