When it comes to apples -there is no way you’re going to eat one alone.
Not in my house.
Not with Jaxson around…
He’s memorized the sound of the knife cutting through the apple skin…
He has the patience of Job – no matter how long it takes he’ll wait and watch / watch and wait…
He’s mastered this technique to pure Doodle perfection. You – the human – are powerless up against that adorable face.
Captured by his charm – you give in, lean in and offer the first slice to him…
He’s no #dummydoodle, he’ll take that first slice from you ever so gently…
Because he intends to strike AND hold that #beggingdoodle pose looking for more…
And to tell you the truth – sharing the apple with him always seems to make it taste better!
Do you have an apple eater in your house?
Apple slices. Help to clean residue off a dog’s teeth, which helps to freshen her breath. Apples are a good source of fiber as well as vitamin A and C. Make sure to take out the seeds and the core before feeding to your dog, as these can be choking hazards. Source: Google
The more we share the more we have ❤️

Sam abhors fruit, I’m still trying to figure out Elsa. Jaxson is no ordinary Doodle, he’s obviously figured out an apple a day keeps the vet away.

We have two apple trees and Rodrigo has learned how to pick his own apples. During “apple season” I keep a pocket knife in my pocket so that I can take the seeds out for him -he patiently waits. The other dogs wait for me to carve up apple pieces for them as well.
We’re thinking of growing more apple trees because they’re a hit at our house. Even my In Laws come over for apples.

We have a bunch of apple eaters in our house. One of our Shih Tzu’s comes running, even if he’s asleep, when he hears us slicing an apple 🙂

Sounds like Jaxson, I find it amazing how acute his hearing is when it comes to apples.

All of the dogs here love apples, and we always share. We even take them apple picking sometimes!
Luke acts exactly like Jaxson when it comes to a different fruit though….bananas! He and Dad share one every morning. 🙂

Our granddoodle, Cody, only eats apples if they are smothered in peanut buttter! If there isn’t enough peanut butter he will spit it out and walk away.

You can see how much Harley loves those apples in the way that he takes them from you! So cute. I’m the only apple lover around my home. I think it is an excellent choice of treats. 🙂

Callie used to like apples for the crunchiness…she wouldn’t eat blueberries unless I added them to yogurt and then froze the yogurt. She taught her younger sisters to be the same way.

My mom eats apples because she should, but is not a huge apple fan. Bailie and I are not big on apples either. Katie loved apples, and since Katie passed away, Mom stopped buying apples. She says it makes her too sad still, and since she isn’t an apple freak, no need to buy them. Maybe in time she will start eating them again. We eat them if they are baked into something, but not raw. Maybe Madison will like them?

How sweet! My dogs are carrot lovers. They refuse any treat that’s not a carrot.

Harley will eat carrots but not raw. Jaxson – well, Jaxson eats EVERYTHING! I love how they both enjoy fresh fruits and veggies.

We eat a lot of apples at our house, but I can never convince Rita to even try a bite! I don’t know why she won’t have a bite because she likes sweet things so I would think she would like them – but nope. Won’t even give it a try! She’s so picky!

So stinkin’ cute! The boys go wild for apples and strawberries. Charlie LOVES oranges (he usually get more than I do).
Merry Christmas or whatever it is you celebrate my dear! xoxoxo

Apples, peaches, carrots… even lettuce my Pedro Doodle adores! And he has a similar technique to Jax’s. He will sit there, patiently, quietly, watching and waiting. Maybe slide down and lay on the floor like a fluffy kitchen rug… But I give in. Every time. If he wants to eat healthy, more power to the Doodle! 🙂
