Let me ask you a couple of questions –

• Are you that person who can purchase one raffle ticket and come out a winner every time?
• How does it feel to hear the numbers on “your” ticket called?
• What races through your head as you run to the front to collect your prize?

I ask these questions because I have never had this experience. Not me! Never!

And I mean NEVER have I EVER won ANYTHING from ANYONE – EVER!

And let me tell you –  I’ve entered my fair share. I pawmise you – DH and I have purchased enough raffle tickets over the years from schools, churches, and friends to wallpaper a room!

But for some reason (could have been the weather) when I received an email a few months ago about the AAA PETBOOK PHOTO CONTEST, I submitted a photo…

Since the contest was about “travel” it made sense to select a vacation scene!

Collar us flattered when we received this email in December from AAA:

For me, this called for a celebration – Throw the diet out the window and order the pizza!

Just like a great movie with extra scenes after the credits – there was more…

DH was even surprised because he knows my track record…

Then I read it -the last sentence… “Popular Vote Contest?”

Beg your pawdon?

I continued reading…

After a little time to think about this along with a tall glass of wine I decided – “what the doodle” – and agreed to participate. So here we are, “hat in paw” asking for votes – Geez!…
