The Odd Couple premiered on Broadway in 1965 – revived in a successful film in 1968 and became a television series in the 1970s…
The plot was simple – yet amusing. Two mismatched roommates –
- Felix Unger – neat, uptight perfectionist (played by Tony Randall)
- Oscar Madison – unkept, disheveled, easy going (played by Jack Klugman)

Each episode kept me laughing as I watched these two try to make a go of it, despite the fact that they were polar opposites.
While Felix could be a bit of a perfectionist, Oscar went through life without a care in the world.
MEET MY ODD COUPLE –
- Felix – will always make sure he’s dressed to impress (played by Harley)
- Oscar – when it comes to appearance he just doesn’t #giveadoodle (played by Jaxson)
Does your pets character match up with one of your favorite television shows? Do tell…
ONE MORE THING –
If you’re even a tiny bit curious as to where they are and why – don’t miss next months Doodle Spot – we’ll spill it all then…
This is our contribution in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop. We may not be totally wordless – but we’re trying 🙂

A handsome couple!
Keep Calm & Bark On!
Murphy & Stanley
February 24, 2016
Thank you! Although they are very different in their styles!
February 24, 2016
Bless! Your’s are a cute couple!
February 24, 2016
Thanks Earl – we think you’re pretty special too!
February 24, 2016
yeah, I think Cole is Jerry Seinfeld
LeeAnna
February 24, 2016
I could see that!
February 24, 2016
Hehe! Cute! 🙂
I have never seen the play, movie or tv show but a partner and I had to play a scene from the show for our theater class. 🙂 So that’s the only way I know about it. I should probably see if I can find it on a site sometime an watch it, huh? 🙂
February 24, 2016
To be honest Jenny – I think you can catch it late at night on one of those cable shows. Not sure how “funny” it would be in this era. How neat that you played a scene in your theatre class. Have a great day – and thanks for stopping by.
February 26, 2016
I did a scene from it too!
February 24, 2016
I loved the movie!!
February 24, 2016
I can’t really remember the movie – not as much as I do the tv series!
February 24, 2016
Lol! That’s hilarious. The truth is, I love both of their styles. 🙂
February 24, 2016
So do I Elaine – they are so different. Whenever Harley wears a tie or any article of clothing he is stiff as a board as he moves about. Jax? could care less….
February 24, 2016
They make an adorable odd couple!
February 24, 2016
You’re so sweet Emma – but I would have to agree with you!
February 24, 2016
They look amazing! Your ironing was a success I take it 🙂
February 25, 2016
HA! Yes, I did get the wrinkles out of Jaxson’s tie only for him to swing it from one side to the other, chew on it, and lay all over it LOL My maniac has his own style I reckon.
February 24, 2016
I loved the movie and the TV show. So funny. The boys definitely look like they’re each playing their parts well! Rita would probably be more of an Oscar – especially at meals or drinking time! Our last 2 girl dogss were both the daintiest eaters/drinkers – we can’t get used to her being such a slob! 🙂
February 25, 2016
I cannot picture Rita being a slob at anything 🙂 She looks so dainty in all her photos. PAWhaps she just really likes her food.
February 24, 2016
I loved that show, I saw every episode! What a fun analogy to use with our dogs – and totally perfect! My girls are an odd couple too, completely different. I look forward to finding out where this beautiful photo was taken. Do tell!
Love & biscuits,

Cathy between The Odd Couple and the Patty Duke show – I was glued to the television. Those were the decades of great writing. The place we were at is part of my Doodle Spot series and I can’t wait to tell it all… Take care and have a great week
February 25, 2016
That is a great photograph. If I had to choose a tv show or someone who looks like me, I wwould either choose Mr. Peabody or BOLT (the Disney movie).
WOOF WOOF!
February 25, 2016
I’m “ole school” so I like Mr. Peabody for your Piranha…
February 25, 2016
Mr. N is a Felix! He likes things orderly.
February 25, 2016
I could see that LOL – he always looks so “sharp” in his outfits too.
February 25, 2016
I love the Odd Couple, but I love Harley & Jaxson more! BOL! ♥
February 25, 2016
And you Bentley steals my heart all the time – love his eyes.
February 25, 2016
Ducky is the female Dennis the Menace! Shadow – and Callie while she was still on earth – is more like Dennis’s friend Margaret, but mellowed with age.
February 25, 2016
OMDoodle – I loved Dennis the Menance and Margaret was one of my favorite characters. I wonder what happened to those actors…
February 25, 2016
Hilarious! I am not sure what couple these two resemble …Bonnie and Clyde? Fred and Ginger? Fred and Ethel?? Great post! They are such cuties
February 25, 2016
Thanks Deirdre – I would say Fred and Wilma for your two! #Fintstonesrock
February 25, 2016
I love it Fred and Wilma!!!! I am thinking about the costume… oh yes oh yes oh yes!
February 26, 2016
Thought you would. Looking forward to the photos too LOL
February 25, 2016
BOL – your odd couple is adorable!
February 25, 2016
I agree with you Nicole – love them to doodles!
February 25, 2016
Your Odd Couple is the cutest! They don’t even have to wear clothes to be a ton of fun. 🙂 My kitties are not fans of wearing clothes, but I do Photoshop some on them from time to time. Shhhh! They will never know! LOL
February 26, 2016
Our wardrobe mostly consists of ties. Harley does have a set of cuffs with rhinestone buttons #dontask for formal affairs LOL They are a riot to live with – trust me.
February 25, 2016
I loved your comparison to the Odd Couple – clever! And adorable pic!
February 26, 2016
Thanks Christine, they are definitely an “odd” pair. I love their unique styles. Thanks for stopping by, come back again soon
February 29, 2016
This is great….too funny! I’d have to think about what TV show my three might be like!
February 29, 2016
Please do, and then blog about it – I can’t wait.
February 29, 2016
Life is way more interesting with the Oscar’s and Felix’s in the world. 🙂
February 29, 2016
Under the same roof it’s a riot Monika!
