For several weeks I’ve been talking with the Ollie Organization about their human grade dog food. NOTE: I was never “disappointed” about the food the Boys were eating at the time of these discussions – I simply want the very best for them, like you do for your dogs…

Dog food innovations are no different than the never ending evolution of foods we humans consume. Everyone (theoretically) would love to eat smarter and healthier. 

Our overall knowledge of what food groups we should consume daily (as well as those we should try to avoid) continues to intensify as we strive to live our best lives. 

Nutrition plays a major role.

This thought process has invoked the same level of concentration (some may even think more) when contemplating what foods to serve our dogs…

DIETARY HISTORY –

In Harley’s lifetime (almost eleven years now), he’s only dined on three variations of food –

Kibble – because I believed the pretty packaging and didn’t think much about what was inside the tiny little nugget until  my grown daughter tried it (yes she did), made a disgusted face and asked “have you tasted this?”

Dehydrated – it was the human grade component that appealed to me, however both Boys tired of it after a year.

Air-dried – 98% pure protein is good, but I was supplementing fruits and veggies and my portions were getting me in trouble with their Doodle Doc during their weigh-ins. #overweightdoodsinthehouse

Somewhere (I thought) there has to be a dog food, with all the components already there to do away with supplements (like fruits and veggies) for people like me who don’t know what is truly the correct amount. #quiltypleasures

The Boys are just now finishing up their nine day transition period…
