But the state of bliss and blessedness each day brings is unexplainable. #puppylove

Thanks Christina – I agree with you completely…

Jax is just adorable. I have heard that Jax’s breed means he doesn’t shed (or at least as much). Is this true?

    • Cathy Bennett
      June 10, 2015

Tis true Barkocity! Jax doesn’t shed much (I think everything sheds), he and Harley are 50% poodle – so that is why they are classified as “hypo-allergenic. That’s a constant debate, and I plan to blog about Goldendoodle facts and/or myths. I personally do not have much to any hair/fur in the house, and practically nothing when I brush them – which I do daily.

We have such great neighbors – the entire family has gone over to the Doodle side. They are seriously considering adding one to their family.

Changes EVERYTHING. When I moved out here to Denver, I was lonely. Loved where I was living, what I was doing, but I was soooo homesick and lonely. And then came Dash … and I don’t exaggerate when I say he saved my life. And I think you know just what I mean. And then a year later along came Lilly and well, we became a little unit and everything changed again. Yep, these are wonderful creatures and I thank God too. xoxo your Colorado friend!

    June 10, 2015

May I share this little poem with you? I wrote it for Pedro, it’s called “My Goldendoodle Child”:

    He is
    A puppy
    My child

    He just licked this page
    And is sniffing my pen
    Wondering if or when
    I will go to bed

    He is not little
    He is big
    But he thinks
    He is little
    That he fits
    On my lap

    And when he dreams
    Of chasing bunnies
    Of getting treats
    And socks to drool
    He whimpers, he barks,
    He smiles

    And when I come home
    He jumps with joy
    Excitedly or grumpily
    He talks
    He asks
    Where have you been
    All day long
    Mommy?

    He has settled now
    Next to me
At the top of the stairs
    While I write
Words that I can’t let go
Ink that is bleeding on paper
    Because he licked it
    And he starts to snore

    He is not little
    He is big
    But yesterday
    And today
    And always
    He is my little
    Fluffy
    Scruffy
    Sometimes stinky
    Often loud
    Goldendoodle
    Child.

So true. I love our Rita, but the dog who really ‘changed everything’ was our angel Abby. She was my heart dog and I sure miss that crazy kid.

The joy they bring is priceless, isn’t it? I had so many doubts when we decided to adopt Luke, but I have not regretted it for one minute (and the exhausted part does pass too….).

Girl – I don’t even think about the exhaustion. He just makes me so happy. Like Luke does for you 🙂
