The big thing in our house this month? Proper Toppers – superfood dog clusters…

My Boys can’t get enough of it.

These clusters of goodness are a recent item here in Doodleville.

It’s no secret that I’ve been feeding The Honest Kitchen to both Harley and Jaxson for years. They’re crazy for the taste and I’m #doodlelirious about the benefits #dontgetmestarted

Limited ingredients you can add to anything you feed your pet. It boosts the taste of food if you’ve got a picky eater and adds additional whole food nutrition to each meal for any dog.

You may recall me saying I like to add human grade #petappropriate foods to their meals.

I’m known to add –

  • boiled ground chicken
  • fresh fruit and/or veggies
  • canned sardines #thankskimberly
  • pumpkin

One day, the chicken was frozen, the only fruit in the fridge were grapes #dangerwillrobinson and I was out of sardines AND canned pumpkin.

Seemed like the pawfect day to bring out the bag of Proper Toppers from THK. #doodlewinner

Yes, THK food can stand alone and they love it, but I’m into creating variety with their meals #crazydoodlemom

The Toppers are much easier to “pack & go” then fresh chicken, fruit or veggies. When we’re traveling out of town, or even when I’m visiting my sister-in-law for the day – I grab the bag.

They’re light and crispy, made from just 5 whole food ingredients –

  • dehydrated turkey
  • dried apples
  • dehydrated pumpkin
  • dehydrated chard
  • dried blueberries

I use five finger tips full as a little extra “sumpin-sumpin” on top of their meals…

They’re also great treats when we’re on the go around downtown Charleston.

Available in grain-free Chicken and Turkey – either one is a huge hit with the Boys 🙂

Listen for yourself as Jaxson slurps and gobbles down his breakfast. And while you listen, please tell me I am not the only one who talks to their pets in that high pitched baby voice #Icantstopit You’ll hear me towards the end of the video #soembarrassed.

Because I only “sprinkle” a little on top, the bag seems to last furever. Scroll down to the bottom of this page, sign up for THK newsletter, receive $5.00 off a purchase and grab your own bag of Toppers for your pup #telluswhatyouthink

Harley & Jaxson are competing in the  “Local Animal Celebrity” category for Charleston and with your help they just might get it!

Happiness is not the absence of problems – It’s the ability to deal with them!

Have a very happy weekend ❤️

These sound just right for me as I associate being proper with being British, and since I am from the UK, it would only be proper for me to eat proper toppers! Yum!

The Boys think they’re getting treats on top of their meals. Harley’s tail wags so fast when he sees me pull out that bag – I love it!

We love to put toppers on the crew’s food. In fact they’re starting to not want to eat their meals without them! These sound great to have on hand. Canned sardines are a favorite around here too, and it’s getting time to get my pumpkins off the doorstep and cook them! 🙂

The Boys love mashed pumpkin in their food. I just buy the one in the can – haven’t tried to cook a pumpkin..

We used to put all sorts of toppers on Mr. N’s food but he would pick all them off and eat just those lol.

Harley would try to do that too, but I push his toppers into the food. By the time he starts diving for them, he’s hooked on the whole meal!!!
