OLDE TOWNE PET RESORT HOSTS A TAILGATE PARTY

Friday is my “favorite day of the week.” It’s the one day I am not expected to be the ring master of this “doodle circus” I live in.

On Friday The Boys go to doggie day camp!

Olde Towne Pet Resort, is more than just a “Premier Pet Boarding” facility for both dogs and cats. To me they’re an extension to your dogs lifestyle which frames this unique kindred spirit among us humans as well.

On any given afternoon you can get swept up in the “pet parent chatter” going on in the lobby area (especially on Friday). We dish about weekend pet events, zany – hair brained – incredibly embarrassing “things” our dogs did that week. You know, stuff like that.

But Friday can also be the absolute worst day to be on the highway between 3-6 pm. Traffic is a beast, like a bear – I mean grizzly. Many of us “hang out” in the Resort or the parking lot while the dogs play, wasting time, waiting for the traffic to subside.

These impromptu gatherings gave General Manager Dixie Eng and her staff a doodletastic idea! Let’s have Olde Towne Pet Resort host a Tailgate Party!

I arrived with two “homemade” football jerseys for The Boys, and stood in the middle of the parking lot in awe with what I saw –

Folding chairs, people, and dogs all over the sectioned off parking lot area. Fernando the groomer turned “grill master” was cranking out hot dogs for all the pet parents. An incredibly creative spread of football favorites compliments of staffers Katy and Daniella were under the tent…

FOOD

The food was displayed so creatively for a Tailgate Party

Everyone who arrived to pick up their pets, came over, and hung out for a while. It was pawsome…

The Boys met so many new furrends that afternoon

The staff mingled with the guests, and played with the pooches…

The staff really makes this place extra special

Before we knew it – the HOV (high occupancy vehicle) lanes opened up, traffic was moving, we were full from all the yummy food, and the dogs were “truly” worn out…

Aren’t these faces pawdorable?

It was a beautiful way to close out a work week.

A special “thank you” to a very special caring staff for once again throwing the pawfect pass.

This was definitely a “touch-down in our game book. Well done team OTPR.

It was a really nice idea, and the set-up was off the hook. The entire staff did a great job. Hope they do something like this again.

HA! Actually I was looking HARD for a NY Giant’s Jersey. But couldn’t find one in this area. Thanks so much for reading Claudette.
