Yesterday was my dog’s birthday and I was excited all day!…

In the Boys formative years I would make a big production on their special bark-day. But after a while, a mere pat on the head, a hug, or some extra snuggle time seemed to suffice just fine.

Harley is my ” ❤️dog.” I’ve wanted a dog my entire life and from the first day I laid eyes on him, we’ve been inseparable.

He’s my first, not my last (obviously) but definitely my “everything”! #thankyoubarrywhite

Eleven – yes I said eleven – years ago, Harley made a lifetime dream come true. I FINALLY had my very own real live (no batteries required) dog.

A dog I –

• researched
• sort after
• chose for myself, all by myself. 

In the 4015 days we’ve been together, I have never regretted this decision once. #truestories

As he ages, on occasion, I have horrible moments where I can’t catch my breath because I think about his age and I am frightened beyond repair.

I know first hand the devastation with losing a pet, I cannot loose Harley, he must live forever. So far he’s spry, frisky and continues to pass his physicals like a toddler pup.

So for this eleventh birthday – I decided if he can continue to defy the odds, this day warranted something special.

TAKING IT TO THE OFFICE –

There are a million ways to celebrate your pet’s birthday. We celebrated Harley’s special day at work with his office mates…

At 10:30am we all assembled with cake and he had a bowl of double Doodle sweetness (Starbucks Puppuccino sprinkled with treat crumbs)…

It was so Doodle*licious, we had to hold his ears back as he licked the bowl clean…

I work with an incredible crew. They understand and accept my passion for my Doods as well as my job. They know I am pet-centric and they indulge me all the way.

MY DOG’S BIRTHDAY –
