DIRTY DOODLES

Mr. Webster may have his own definition for these two words – “dirty doodles” and Ms. Wikipedia may even have her own pawsonal interpretation.

But this is mine…

DIRTY DOODLES

WHAT IN THE DOODLE? –

was the look on Doodle Dad’s face when we sashayed through the house headed to the bath-tub.

Recently, Jaxson has become my #pigpendoodle

Remember Pigpen from the Charlie Brown comics?

That lil boy who always had his own cloud of dirt floating all around him

Well if Pigpen had his own dog, it could have been Jaxson.

Can you see the resemblance?…

DIRTY DOODLES

Jaxson wasn’t always a #diggingdoodle per-say – but if his ball goes behind the Crepe Myrtle bush, well… “a doodles got to do what a doodles got to do!”

I don’t panic when these things happen, because he’s a dog living a dogs life!

CLEAN-UP –

is #easypeasy thanks to Fresh Wave Odor Removing Pet Shampoo

DIRTY DOODLES

Fresh Wave sent us a 16 oz bottle a few weeks ago. They didn’t ask for a product review, just thought I’d like to try it 🙂

This is not a PSA (public service announcement) it’s more of a DMA (doodle mom accolade).

I love this stuff!

It’s become my “go-to” defense against mud, dirt and dried up ice cream under the chin. #spotcleaning

There are no added perfumes or harsh chemicals. They use natural ingredients –

  • water
  • derivatives of coconut oil
  • natural extracts of lime
  • pine needle
  • aniseed
  • clove
  • cedar wood
  • soya
  • chrysanthemum

As long as I’ve got a bottle in my house, Pigpen Jaxson can get as dirty as he wants because Fresh Wave cleans him up nicely…

DIRTY DOODLES

It’s MONDAY – Don’t forget to be PAWsome ❤️

Dirty? I can honestly say, we have never, ever been dirty dogs here at my house…oops, Mom says I shouldn’t lie! Hope you cleaned up nicely and got your shiny white furs back again!

Oh sure Emma! I believe you #winkwink

What a great recommendation! I’m flagging this product for purchase as soon as our current cleanser gets low… which won’t be long because Wrigley is who I call my “pig roller doodle!” Despite a yard of mostly green grass to run and play on, that boy likes to find the patch of dirt and dead grass to roll around and scratch his back in. Makes him so happy, and his mama so frustrated!

HA! Can you imagine Amanda if your #pigrollerdoodle and my #pigpendoodle got together for a doodle romp? Mud and dirt flying everywhere LOL Yes, I would definitely put this on your purchase list once you run low. I love the smell and it works wonders. I use it a lot on Jaxson’s beard, he licks it a bunch of times in between shampoos and he’s never gotten sick either. Let me know what you think!

This is such a great post. Take Jax and multiply him my three and welcome to my house! Sydney is my clean girl, but the other dogs dig, hunt, and roll in dirt all day long. They all got baths yesterday and I shudder to think of the dogs I’ll come home too, because it’s raining today and digging is so much better in the rain.

I can only imagine. Harley is such a neat freak – I am not used to this rumble tumble pup! I alway give in and allow him to be himself, so that’s why I love products that help me when I really need it.

Is this just a shampoo or can you spot clean as well? I have a 4 month old, 26lb doodle that LOVES to dig!

OOPS–re-read your comments about spot cleaning and answered my own question. What can I say–it’s early in the am and I am at work! Thanks for your blog–I really enjoy reading about your doodles.

Sounds like a good product for when Pug is smelling a little puggy, as I call it.

It really is – Jaxson can smell a little “doodly” at times himself! 🙂

Wooo…he does clean up good! I didn’t know they were making shampoo now. I love their other products because the scents are so subtle and not overpowering.

The shampoo is exactly the same, not overpowering at all but boy does it do the job!

I have got to try this stuff!! More because I need to start doing Ducky’s baths myself to save a little money than because she makes a mess of herself. But Jaxson really cleaned up nicely! I truly am impressed!!
