Simply put – Campfire Natural Dog Treats – our pot of gold at the end of a rainbow…

CAMPFIRE NATURAL DOG TREATS

The search for a natural, wholesome, healthy, teeth cleaning dog treat has been an ongoing pursuit. A battle not often won. Until Campfire Treats!

If the struggle I just described sounds vaguely familiar, then please read on, I just may have helped end your search also.

ALL NATURAL DOG TREATS & CHEWS –

The president and co-founder reached out to me, and asked if I would be interested in writing a review for his all-natural human grade quality chicken jerky strips.

Color me tainted, but in my head “chicken” and “jerky” in the same sentence raises a red flag. I see flashing lights and that robot from “Lost in Space” screaming “warning Will Robinson.”

Too often in years past it seemed as if every week a chicken jerky product was exposed for contamination, salmonella poisoning, improper handling / processing in foreign countries, etc…

Over time I’ve re-trained myself to just stay away.

As I perused Campfire Treats website, I exhaled thinking –

now here’s a guy who’s doing it right!

A clear mission statement caught my attention immediately.

They –

  • handcraft all treats and chews in their own California commercial kitchennothing is outsourced
  • only use quality ingredients from U.S. farms and fisherieshuman grade quality ingredients
  • buy and produce in small batches to ensure freshnessevery single item is made by them!
  • never add anything artificialeverything remains 100% natural.

CHICKEN NECK TREATS –

After a few emails and a telephone call, he sent me a bag of their natural “dehydrated” chicken neck treats. I was intrigued with the necks because the boys had never eaten them before…

Grain, gluton, corn, and soy free with only one single ingredient – U.S. sourced chicken.

Dehydrated chicken neck treats offer numerous benefits. The bones provide dogs with natural fibre and they are an excellent source of protein and niacin.

GOOD NEWS –

Campfire dehydrated chicken necks (both sizes) are reasonably priced –

  • 15 necks – $14.98
  • 30 necks – $ 24.98

Mom was shopping at a vendor yesterday at the barn hunt trial. She had all kinds of dehydrated treats and chicken necks were a choice. She didn’t choose them, but we would love to try them.

Emma, I have no doubt that you girls would fall in love with them just like my Boys. Crunchy, tasty and just the right size for a mid-afternoon snack.

i have seen them in the local dog stores, them seem very crunchy, and the bones seem to be okay. i think i would ask my vet about them first. however, they do seem okay.

I’ve seen them in the stores from time to time too, but there were some other ingredients included so I stayed away. Totally check with your vet first, and if he says yes – you can always take advantage of the 15% discount by shopping from here.
Let me know how it all works out.

I’ve never given these to my dogs but I’m intrigued. I know that regular chicken bones aren’t safe for dogs, but realize that the neck is different. I’d definitely like to let my dogs try these.

These bones are completely digestible. Even Harley gobbles them down and has no problem whatsoever. Initially I broke the chicken neck up – but only once LOL Now they each get a neck a piece. They love them. We’re all out – now I’ve got to order more!!!!

Oh these treats sound good – for the dogs (don’t think I would want one. My 2 Beagles go crazy for treats like dehydrated lamb lung or bits of dehydrated chicken so I know they would love these and I would love to give them the opportunity to have some. I’m always on the look-out for healthy, nutritious and above all, safe treats.

I always worry about Luke and big/long lasting treats. He forgets to chew sometimes! But these look like they can be broken into smaller pieces, and I love that they use antibiotic and hormone free chickens.
