AN EXTRAORDINARY DAY

Tuesday to me is “the” most insignificant day of the week. It seems to get lost between Monday’s madness and “hump-day” Wednesday.

It just sort of slides by, and rarely carries any lingering fond memories with it. Except for this week. This Tuesday was “an extraordinary day!”

The weather – typical November – overcast, little chill in the air but no “biting” breeze. I loved it. It was not hot nor humid, yet you didn’t need a heavy coat, scarves or gloves. Great “sweater” weather.

It was Election Day, so off we left, Boys in tow…

You can’t see Harley because he’s already in the car laying down

Talk about pawfect timing! We met up with our anipal Alex when we pulled into the parking lot…

Alex and Harley have literally grown up together

Since I am always writing about “Alex” please allow me to introduce you to his mother – “Tiffany”

Look at the two of them posing…

Alex immediately took possession of Harley, as we walked to the front of the school…

Nothing sweeter to see than a dog and a child together – Awwhh

Tiffany offered to hang onto The Boys while we went inside to cast our vote…

Tiffany thought she could handle Leo, while Alex held onto Harley

I had to laugh when I looked through the window. I didn’t know who was walking who…

This should have been a video

They played for a while and then DH, The Boys and I were off to visit my mom. She’s getting older, but still relatively healthy and well cared for. So many of our readers ask about her, and I am happy to report that it was a pawsome visit! She and Harley continue to have their own way of communicating…

These two will always be BFF’s

Dog food, Greenies, and a few groceries were next on our list and then we were homeward bound. Couldn’t have been inside for more than a few minutes when the doorbell rang and as I approached the door, I saw the tailend of the UPS truck headed up the street.

What a pleasant surprise! He delivered a package – just for me! The Boys and I have been asked to read and review the book CHASER – UNLOCKING THE GENIUS OF THE DOG WHO KNOWS A THOUSAND WORDS. Collar me flattered! What an oppawtunity, I really wanted to read the book too! Who knows, this might give me some additional insight to my “toy box” training (don’t ask!)

We’re ready to get started…

Do you think Leo secretly knows how to read?

In the meantime, if you didn’t catch the nationally televised interview with “Chaser” and his pet parent/trainer: John W. Pilley, you gotta check it out now…

Well, thanks for reading, this Tuesday continues to be extraordinary – DH is cooking dinner so I’m gonna start reading this book…

Hey Jen, It was a great Tuesday, Wed was rather bring actually in comparison, but I dealt with it – HA!
Yup, my mom and Harley are truly a pair. I love to watch them interact together.

I just adore your dogs. Thanks so much for calling yesterday.

We have voting this week; I didn’t go, because I’m annoyed with all the issues listed. First time I didn’t go.

Thanks Kim, and no need to thank me. Don’t want to sound like the sound track from Waiting to Exhale, but “that’s what friends are for…”
      Take care girlfriend

I really DO think Leo can secretly read. Love his glasses.

I was starting to question that myself because my book started moving from place to place late into the night, wait for another blog post to find out who’s the culprit.
      Thanks for reading
