LUCKY IN LOVE

While you might think “Lucky in Love” meant I was talking about me – this time it’s about another kind of love!

A love from a human for hundreds of animals.

THE REST OF THE STORY –

Blog Paws 2017 – the Boys and I met this really nice man named Scott Evan Smith…

LUCKY IN LOVE

His employer – Consumers Advocate sent him to the BP Conference from Puerto Rico to write a story.

Many bloggers and pet enthusiasts know him more from his “Everybody loves Sammy” social media pages.

Meet pawdorable Sammy…

LUCKY IN LOVE

The love of dogs, our roots from the “Big Apple” and good wine 🙂 kept us talking for hours. He was super excited to be with all of us, but even more elated with the thought of going home. A few days before the conference, Scott found a beautiful Lab puppy in Puerto Rico and was plotting on how to successfully beg his wife Vanessa if he could keep him.

If he succeeded – he would bring home their seventh dog #lotsofbegging

I was happy to hear a week after the conference that love DOES conquer all and Scott DID bring Lucky home…

LUCKY IN LOVE

Life for Scott was dog-on-good!

TRAGEDY STRIKES –

Puerto Rico has now been hit with two of the largest Hurricanes in history within two weeks of each other. As a result – there are over 500,000 stray dogs in Puerto Rico and over 1 million stray cats.

The devastation left behind is still overwhelming. The situation for the animals is dire.

It’s hard to imagine what they endured with Hurricane Maria’s winds of 175 mph for 7 straight hours…

THE WAY TO HELP –

Lucky in Love is a relief fund set up through youcaring.com – a compassionate free online fundraiser – to help animals struggling to survive in Puerto Rico.

Learn more from Scott himself through his video on the youcaring.com page.

If donating is something you would like to do – on behalf of Scott’s efforts – the Boys and I thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts.

Keep in mind, no amount is too small.

A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal ❤️

What a great ambassador for love and caring! His little Sammy is adorable and we’re excited to know his family approved of Lucky.
