DOCTOR DOODLE

Move over Harley the Therapy Dog, Doctor Doodle (aka Jaxson) is in the house…

DOCTOR DOODLE

GOLDEN hugs & DOODLE kisses to all who sent good wishes last year when you read DOGS CAN MAKE WEEKENDS GREAT!

To watch my brother smile and laugh as he began his cancer treatments, made me realize how special a gift it is to have a dog around.

Since this is “Wordless Wednesday” I will be brief…

BUT LET ME TELL YOU 🙂 –

My brother came back for another dose of “Doodle love” and the two of them (he and Jaxson) picked up right where they left off…

DOCTOR DOODLE

My brother’s doing well. He’s an old paratrooper, a retired NYC detective, a man of God and he’s a fighter.

I hope to see him again soon, as do the Boys. They missed him when he left…

DOCTOR DOODLE

It’s hard being “wordless” but we try! This is our contribution in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

This is true – I had an exhausting day at work today – but after I got home, and had a double doodle dose of love from the Boys and they make everything alright.

Awww, Doctor Doodle looks like such a love! Funny, whenever Rita is making us feel better when we’re ill or have a boo boo we say “Nurse Rita.” I guess that’s kinda inadvertently sexist on our part…. maybe we should be calling her Doctor Rita! 🙂

Glad to hear your brother is doing okay. Sweet pics!

Come on now! Let’s make Rita a full fledged certified Doctor! She’s definitely got the credentials.

I’m so glad your brother is doing well with his cancer treatments! My brother lives in Islamorada right now, but I’m trying to convince him to move up here to Greenville. We’ll see what happens. Having family close by is always a boost.

I wish I could have followed through on my plans to go to BlogPaws this year. It would have been great to meet all my blogging buddies in person. Oh well. Maybe some day.

Have fun in Myrtle Beach! Are you bringing the Doodle Boys?

My brother seems to be handling the treatments well. Some of the side effects aren’t fun, but for the most part he’s still smiling. I am bringing the Boys to BP. My daughter is coming with me again (she had a real blast last year) so she will help with them. I am bummed that you’re not coming, but I understand. Paws crossed that one day soon, we will get to meet in person.

I’ll be praying for your brother. It’s a tough road, but the love and support of friends and family, as well as a solid faith in God, make all the difference.

Hey Flea – you and our daughter definitely know this to be true. Faith, friends and great medical assistance makes all the difference. Looking forward to seeing you at BP.

I’m so happy for you and your family that your brother is doing well! That is a gift from God for sure. I’ll never forget how my beautiful sister struggled through nearly two years of treatment with breast cancer. I’m grateful to God every day that she survived – it’s been 20 years since then! I wish the same great result for your brother. Dogs are the best therapy aren’t they? Thanks for sharing this with us.
