EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

Hard to fathom Harley (the Grooviest Goldendoodle) and I have spent the last eight years together – but we have.

Today (November 25th) is his birthday…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

Thorn Jones once wrote –

Dogs have a way of finding the people that need them… Filling an emptiness we don’t even know we have.”

This is a very accurate quote when it comes to Harley & I. He’s taught me so much these past few years,

If Harley could read – this is what his birthday card would say…

DEAR HARLEY –

I know the day you got in the car with me, you probably thought you were coming home with an experienced pet parent…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

NOT! –

Honestly we had no clue what to do with you! You hung in there with us though. But then I guess you had no real choice.

I remember the first time you got sick. I apologize for the dozens of times we checked on you and asked how you were doing. That’s what we did with the human children, so we thought “why not.” #wedidntknow

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

Harley in eight years you’ve done so much for so many.

THANK YOU FOR –

always waiting up for me, every time I leave the house #Iseeyou

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

making my mom believe she was the most important person in your life as her’s began to slip away…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

calming Tiffany when her cancer fears were out of control...

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

being that gentle canine friend to so many pups…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

accepting the arrival of Leo

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

becoming his BFF

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

patiently living with me in my rabbit hole of mourning when Leo passed away…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

helping the neighbors navigate through the loss of Leo when I couldn’t…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

not KILLING me (or running away) when I brought Jaxson home…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

Doodle sitting Jaxson when I had laundry to do…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

being a great big brother (again)…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

Never EVER meeting a stranger…

Happy Birthday Harley, thank you for finding me, loving me, and teaching me how life should be lived…

EIGHT YEARS TOGETHER

And now we eat ice cream!

Careful out there today don’t let Black Friday put you in the red ❤️

Your Doodles are beautiful! I saw them at the groomer today and they told me about your site. My wife and I would like to meet you and the pups and introduce ourselves to you.

Happy Birthday dear Harley! What a sweet tribute your Mommy has written for you.
And if I may add, thank you for inspiring your Mommy to tell us about your, beloved Leo’s and adorable Jax’s adventures. The world is a little cozier and so much better with the smiles (& the laughter) getting to know you all has brought us.
    Hugs and loving paws!

Happy Birthday Harley! You and your mom are a special pair who truly need each other and love each other. Enjoy your day, and don’t let your pesty brother steal the limelight. Younger siblings try to do that all the time! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday sweet Harley! This made me cry. Wrigley turned 7 earlier this month, and I know just how you feel. It has been such a blessing to have found your blog and been able to follow along with your journey over the last several years. We are both blessed with much to be thankful for this season!

Harley! Happy Birthday! Yes, you have brought a lot of joy to others. Do you remember the football field trip that we took where we had a car full of dogs and you rode shotgun up front? Don’t worry mom, he wore a seat belt. Harley l miss how you always give kisses and are such a great ambassador. Find a reason to come for a visit. Hera sends dobby kisses!

I’m so sorry I’m so late for wishing Harley a Happy Birthday! I’d say I hope he had a wonderful day, but I feel pretty sure that he did, that you all enjoyed it. I love this tribute to him – he is truly a special dog!

Birthday wishes are always “on time!” He had a great birthday. What dog wouldn’t like a stop of ice cream and a doggie sandwich cookie?
