CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

Black Friday I stayed home and compiled a “wish list” of Christmas pet gifts vs. “twilight” shopping with the rest of America.

I surfed the internet looking for unique and unusual items while the Boys continued to spend their holiday weekend sleeping off their homemade Turkey Loaf I made using a recipe from The Honest Kitchen…

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTSInteresting enough the high tech interactive pet toys captured my attention the most. Every year there’s something new that makes me “almost” pull out my debit card #Isaidalmost

But most of what I’m attracted to comes with a hefty price tag.

But a Doodle Mom can dream right?

IF MONEY GREW ON TREES –

Here’s what I would place under our Christmas tree –

Enchanted Home Pet Library Sofa Pet Bed

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

Imagine, a couch similar to the one I rarely get to sit on made especially for them!

Retails for $159.99

CleverPet

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

Now this dog engaging treat machine intrigues me. Reminds me of those interactive light and music games I used to play with my kids when they were younger. Using the clever pattern, the Boys would learn how to press any button on the machine and then get rewarded with a treat. After they mastered that, CleverPet would light up certain buttons and only dish up a treat when their paws pressed the correct button. Harley would be entertained for hours. You can even stay connected with your dog when you’re out of the house with this toy!

Retails for $299.99

GoBone

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

This would be on the top of my Christmas list for both Harley & Jaxson! Should I receive a check in the mail that I wasn’t expecting, I would buy this in a Charleston minute! It’s a toy, it’s a bone, it’s a treat dispenser! #Doodleheaven.

A smart toy I fill with treats that will play with them with a single tap. It can even connect to my smartphone so I can control the toy remotely. Like from my home office #YoSanta #twoplease

Mental stimulation with treat rewards, the pawfect combination in a toy.

Retails for $169.00

Voyce

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

A dog activity and sleep monitor to give me insight for better health decisions. A revolutionary health monitor and wellness management system for every stage of my dogs life. It has the capacity to gather vital health information in addition to tracking resting heart and respiratory rates, with key indicators to help detect conditions early. #sweet

Retails for $199.00

PetSafe Automatic Ball Launcher

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

Fully automated, complete with built in sensors, and safety features. Each time the ball is launched (8-30 ft range), Jaxson could run after it. My job? To teach him how to drop the retrieved ball back into the top so it will launch again. Nine different distance settings as well as six angle settings with15 minute rest feature. Can you say #tireddoodle

Retails on Amazon for $149.95

OR –

iFetch Too Interactive Ball Thrower

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

Another ball launcher but this is supposed to be better for “large dogs.” Uses standard sized tennis balls, has options to travel 10, 25, or 40 feet distances. Comes with three balls.

Retails on Amazon for $199.99

Petzi Treat Cam..

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

An app controlled, wifi connected device that would allow me to see (video) speak (audio) capture photos (snap) and give treats remotely using any internet enabled smart device. Although the Boys are rarely home “alone” – when they are, I think this would be fun for both of us!

Retails on Amazon for $139.57

BUT BECAUSE IT DOESN’T –

Grow on trees – money that is. Here’s my Christmas reality –

K9 Kannon Ball Launcher

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

This could be the secret weapon I’ve been looking for to tucker them out. It’s a blessing to live surrounded by parks and open fields here in Charleston. There are plenty of places I could test this baby. This thing shoots balls up to 100 feet and has a convenient hands free pickup feature. No more two fingers grabbing that drool-drenched and dirt covered ball. I also like that it comes with extra ball storage, remember – I’ve got two Dood’s to exhaust.

Retails on Amazon for $17.07

Acadia Antlers

CHRISTMAS PET GIFTS

Acadia Antlers are a long lasting chew that dogs will not chew through. They just grind down. Great for tarter and plaque and denser than deer or elk. They last forever!

Acadia Antlers are just CALCIUM making them perfect chews for dogs with allergies.

Harley and Leo had them for years, now it’s Jaxson’s turn. So this Christmas he gets his first Acadia Antler! A gift even Jaxson can’t destroy!

Retails in various sizes and prices at Acadia Antlers

So, that’s my “wish list!” Do you have one?

Cyber Monday – the one time of year we look forward to Monday ❤️

Sometimes the best gifts are the least fancy and inexpensive ones. We dogs love things because of our humans more than anything. Those are fun dream gifts, though. We had the Petzi Treat Cam, but gave it away as it was not good with multiple pets in our house. Too much competition for the treat.

Now that you mention it Emma, the treats Cam could become a bit of an instigator with two dogs especially if I’m not home to supervise. Didn’t think about that….

That is some fun stuff! I always wanted one of those ball launchers, but that’s more for us than them, right? I figured I could use the exercise throwing the ball myself too, and save some money. It would be so cute to watch Cricket dropping a ball in there. 🙂
I want to find the crew a good agility tunnel for this Christmas. Our old one is pretty beat up but it’s one of their favorite things so I’m on the hunt for a more heavy duty one at a reasonable price. Is this possible, I wonder? 🙂

I think the ball launcher would be the coolest ever! I’d get more balls and just start shooting them all over the field. I can see the Boys flying in zig zag formation until they drop! My kind of fun!!!

We LOVE antlers! That petcam would be really cool though! I’ve always wanted one of those for the pups. Maybe when we have a house again. 🙂

Antlers are the very best with active dogs! I especially love Acadia’s Antlers! I met Carol when she was first starting out – she’s a really sweet person, and I trust her product. So I support!

We love our pet cam by #furbo as well as gadgets. Your dream wish list was a lot of fun to read, and dream about. Good things the fur family members are not too picky about what is under the Christmas tree for them. A good treat would do it for Shasta ANYTIME. 😉

I look at it like I would dreaming of new cars, jewelry and other extravagant items. After salivating over it for a few hours, I’m good 🙂 What I really want, is that Excaliber Dehydrator so I can make the Boys their own chicken jerky! That’s more in my reality $$ range!

    December 2, 2016

I am intrigued by many of these but I have to say that for a previous Christmas or Birthday, I got Pedro one of those “smart” toys -not electronic or connected to an i-anything- but where he was supposed to push certain things to dispense treats. Well, he proceeded to chew on it!… and caused it sufficient damage before I could even take it away. As I write this, I laugh and forgive that Daddy was roaring with laughter that time (I was not impressed!).
This year, however, I subscribed Pedro to Barkbox and see how that goes and will also make a donation to a whale research and conservation organization in his name. He likes whale puppies so much! (Disclaimer: he just had a birthday too so it’s not like he’s lacking in the toy department either 🙂
    Loving paws!

I used to subscribe to Barkbox. Really enjoyed it. I think Pedro will have fun with all the goodies that arrived each month. Again, this was really my “wish” list – I can’t justify buying these things at this time, too many other items on my list. Let me know how Pedro likes Barkbox.
