Don’t you just love spreading a little Christmas Cheer with others?

After all isn’t that what it’s really all about?…

The Boys, Doodle Dad and I had an opportunity to do just that –

SPREAD A LITTLE CHRISTMAS CHEER –

I think it’s safe to say – practically everyone across this nation is familiar with the U.S. Marines and their Annual “Toys for Tots” drive this time of year.

It’s become synonymous to Christmas as much as Rudolph, Frosty and Nat King Cole…

This drive is greatly appreciated AND necessary. No one wants to see a child go without a toy for Christmas.

We try to give as much as we can, but we have (at times) fallen short with some organizations. Many times I say I’m “gonna” but fail to follow through. #humanflaw

THIS SATURDAY WAS DIFFERENT –

This Saturday involved the Boys!

Our long morning walk knocked Jaxson out! #rare Leaving me with the luxury of a peaceful moment, a cup of coffee and the local news…

A local television station covered a story #live from a Krispy Kreme Donut Shoppe about a “Toys for Tots” Drive…

The story touched me. Hours passed and I was still thinking about them. They were so close to their goal, and I wanted to help.

By mid morning, I told Doodle Dad I wanted to go. I thought – the Boys could give a donation and brighten peoples day even more as they came to drop off toys and/or money.

I just love this man. No fuss, no sighs – just a warm “okay.” #hesakeeper

What a pleasant surprise to meet the very same “Lorenzo” I saw in the interview earlier that day. He and his staff were in awe of the many donations. Bikes and toys were everywhere #blessings

I told him Groovy Goldendoodles™ had a small donation and he was very excited to meet them…

We didn’t stay very long but while we were there we made a few new friends…

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE DONUTS?

They were glazed, they were warm, they were so tempting. Then it hit me.

THE CAR WASH!

Let me explain.

Shortly after we moved here we discovered an affordable and friendly car wash that gives back to the community.

This car wash is part of a Non-Profit Organization that believes in helping others! They manage a car wash, a thrift store, and a small diner that serves full pancake breakfasts on Saturday mornings!

For the men that work at the car wash, a box of fresh baked donuts could certainly be a pleasant surprise.

IT WAS!

What a Doodletastic day – just hanging out with my Boys and sharing a little Christmas Cheer 🎄
