I went to bed early…
and woke up at dawn.
Ate all of my breakfast…
then went on the lawn.
I saw the big yellow thing…
all shiny and new. I tried to walk faster…
as my excitement then grew.
But the yellow thing left us, I was shocked and confused…
We were at the right bus stop…
oh my doodle, now what do we do?
I guess I will rest, with Wilson close by…
As Harley waits by the door…
with an occasional whimpering sigh.
My friends will be back…
cause Doodle Mom told us.
And we’ll be here waiting…
for the big yellow school bus!
A FB furrend of the Boys sent the message (below) out this morning and I wanted to share it with all of you. Thanks “James O” for reminding me that I too can play a significant role in the lives of children even if they are not my own….
“Back to school is not just for the students it’s also for parents, family members and friends. The responsibilities are ours so we should be asking about homework, making sure we know where the students are during non-school hours, knowing who all the teachers are, attending school functions (parent-teacher meetings), encouraging students to do their best and celebrating all the small and large victories. It’s also important to let them know that failure can be a part of the learning process. Students, have a productive and safe school year and remember that what you do now will follow you for the rest of your life so your futures are in your hands!”
Thanks fur reading, let’s all exercise some additional patience this week for the big yellow buses and the little people that ride them…

Leo, Wilson will help a little but he just can get replace those little hands petting and loving on you! I totally understand:( Just wait Harley and Leo, that bus will bring your friends back each day and I will bet they will be just as happy to see the both of you as you will be to see them. Libby sends hugs and Doodle kisses!

Those beds look so comfy!

They not only look comfy, they are! I’ve sat on them from time to time when I’m playing with the Boys. I know why they sometimes start snoring in the middle of the night. Thanks for reading.
