Groovy Goldendoodles are blogging from A to Z this month. If you’re not sure just “what in the doodle” we’re doing, don’t fret, click here where you can dig up the dirt on our little alphabet pawty.

 Getting Schooled…Doodle Style

It’s me Harley and I’m focusing on the letter…

K

And the word I chose to use is:

KAPUT

kəˈpo͝ot

ADJECTIVE

Definition: broken and useless; no longer working or effective:

Harley’s sentence: Mr. Shark used to wiggle, but not anymore! Thanks to me, Mr. Shark is KAPUT…

Ha ha! Love this – Kayo has a lot of toys that have gone kaput over the years! Mr. Shark looks like he still has a purpose though! ;0)

Yup! Mr. Shark gets dragged around like a trophy. It’s like Harley wants all of us to know he can “kill” 🙂

You picked a loaded word. It is basically the same in so many European and Scandinavian languages. In German it is kaputt. We use it all the time while speaking German but did not know it could be used in English correctly. We have used it jokingly in English. Nice word round up graphic too 🙂

Thanks Emma, I’m smiling 🙂 because we lived in Germany for about 5 years (Neu Ulm) and it was such a popular word – I used it often! Fond memories living in Europe – we absolutely loved it.

Another great word. We have a lot of toys that are nearly kaput. I should purge the toy box today.

Funny you should talk about purging Kimberly. The weather is so nice I’m thinking about washing some of the fabric toys and putting them out on the deck to dry. They’re still in good shape but just rather smelly…

Yes, Stephanie, Mr. Shark swims no more 🙁

I love “Kaput” I have three furry babies (doggies) and they enjoy when their toys are kaput. I think they feel like they have conquered the enemy (toy).

That must be it Martha – Harley goes in for the kill sometimes and he is relentless until he’s “conquered” them. I laugh when he struts around with them so proudly… Thanks for reading

When I see this word I hear Madeline Kahn’s voice from “Blazing Saddles”…

Thanks for the week of words graphic! I was so sad that my travels had gotten me behind in my doodle vocabulary lessons. I have all day tomorrow to do my homework!

Bethany – When I read your comment I cracked up! Good one… I hadn’t thought of that when I selected the word, but man did you bring back a hilarious memory. That was a classic movie. Glad to hear you enjoyed the short story this week. I’ll be waiting for your homework 🙂
