To groom or to get groomed -that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler for the doodle mom to suffer
The water and blow-dryers of outrageous fortune
Or to save money in exchange for a seat of trouble….

One dood went to the groomer and one experienced a bath at the hands of “Doodle Mom” #scrubadubdoodle …
TELL ME –
Who washed which dog?…
Stop back on Friday for the “who and the why”
It’s Wednesday – don’t give up – you’re almost there 🙂
This is our “wordy” contribution in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

We call it water boarding not a nice bath like mom calls it
Lily & Edward
May 25, 2016
Lily – you and Edward are a hot mess! I’m sure your mom is very gentle and loving when she bathes you! Don’t you want to stay clean and smell sweet?
May 25, 2016
Well, this doodle mama just did full baths and brushing (attempts) for her two on Sunday. If your results look like mine then I am pretty sure I know who washed Jaxson! But I will wait with anticipation to see if I’ve been fooled, and you are much more talented than me! 🙂
May 25, 2016
Hey Amanda – you did both of them? In one day? You’re my new SHERO! My back is still killing me!
May 25, 2016
Harley looks whiter and fluffier – so I’m guessing he went to the groomer. No offense intended re: your grooming skills. 🙂
I gave our beagle Cricket a bath last weekend – it is not her favorite thing and she is sure to let me know that! She is very dramatic about the whole thing – grunting and groaning the whole time, and then later shuddering over the horror of it all, trying to make me feel guilty! Which of course, I do.
May 25, 2016
I don’t want to spoil it just yet Jan, but OMDoodle. I was so exhausted…. #ugh
May 25, 2016
BOL… that is an adorable shot of the 2 in the chairs!
May 25, 2016
They’re just “chilling” waiting for the sun to go down!
May 25, 2016
BOL! Too funny and you both are looking good!!!
May 25, 2016
Thanks Spencer!
May 25, 2016
I’m going to lean out my car window and say Harley was at the spa as his furs look more like mine when I visit my spa lady.
May 25, 2016
Oh Emma my love – where’s your confidence and support in your Doodle Mom Auntie? LOL
May 25, 2016
Haha, I LOVE this post!! It’s so cute!!
You both did a great job! It’s always a fuss to wash doggies!!
May 25, 2016
It’s more than a fuss for me – it’s a comedy / reality show all rolled up into one!
May 25, 2016
well since Harley looks like he always has, I’d say you tried Jax. I’ve been doing the grooming for years on Cole and I know for sure he’s calmer. He might just look great too. The problem since I own the scissors, I groom for days… snip here, oh that needs shortening… clip a nail…pluck an ear…he sees it like cesar… she has that lean and hungry look!

There is no way I could trust myself with a pair of scissors on them. They’d look a hot mess afterwards LOL I do good just with the bath part.
May 25, 2016
Wow! This is a tough one. They both look really clean. I think your grooming outfit is the best! 🙂
May 25, 2016
Rubber gloves and all – I was ready but still got wet – soaked LOL
May 25, 2016
YOU are MY shero lol. I attempted to wash Ziggy & it actually took 3 of us. One kept him busy in the front, Curtis controlled the water & I did the washing lol. I don’t think we’ll Ever do that again 🙂
May 25, 2016
It’s a lot harder than it looks isn’t it friend?
May 25, 2016
Oh I love this post! I’m the worst groomer – I’m intimidated by the tools and I think I’m going to cut someone’s ear off! These pics are FAB. I think the Dood on the right went to the groomer! Am I right?
May 26, 2016
Girlfriend – I’m with you, I don’t dare use any sharp objects around them, I would sever an artery for sure… Stay tuned tomorrow (Friday) for the answer to the question of the week! LOL
May 25, 2016
I know I know! 😉 Such handsome dudes.
May 26, 2016
Well one’s handsome LOL 🙂
May 25, 2016
I just stick Mr. N in the tub and wash him. He gets blow dried in the winter/fall and mostly air dries in the summer. It definitely makes a difference lol.
May 26, 2016
How I wish the one I bathed was Mr. N.’s size! LOL
May 25, 2016
I also think the Dood on the right went to the groomer. It’s not easy to bathe a dog…especially not one whose as large as a Doodle. Looks like you performed a very good test here…The question is also, though, which Dood liked their bath better?
May 26, 2016
HA! One thing I’ll share before Friday is “you’re absoDOODLEtutely right” dogs the size of Doodles is more than a handful (at least to me!) Can’t wait to meet you next month at BP!
May 26, 2016
I don’t want to cast aspersions on your grooming abilities… but it sure looks like Harley just stepped out of the spa, so I’m going to guess you washed Jax.. 🙂
Rita hadn’t had a bath in ages, but she had to have one Sat night after getting skunked! ugh.
May 26, 2016
The Boys have to get bathed regularly because they are always on the couches and in my bed. I don’t mind them on the furniture but they’ve got to be clean. Harley actually looks “pissed” when he’s super dirty! Plus all that hair holds lot’s of funk LOL How did you rid Rita from the skunk smell?
May 31, 2016
The good news is both are fluffy and very well loved. 🙂
May 31, 2016
That they are – abundantly (loved that is!)
