Today is the first day of Summer, which always brings a smile to my face.
For me, Summer means stolen glimpses of family as our paths cross up and down the highway for mini vacations, family reunions, and even college tours.
When these occasions present themselves, I cherish those late afternoons together. I quietly sit nearby, camera in hand, watching my Boys and the younger generation“communicate” in a way intended to be interpreted only by them.
They seem to speak a secret language while gazing deep into each other’s eyes…
Or perhaps it’s a special touch between them that echoes “I love you”…
Henry Ward Beecher said it best:
I am blessed to be a witness…
Have a wonderful Summer Solstice!
We’re joining Ruckus the Eskie for Sepia Saturday. Ruckus says: All are welcome to join. Please share your best sepia pics of pets, families, experiences, nature, etc…

Emma, we have to be camera ready! You and your sisters along with my boys always give us so many opportunities to catch great shots, we can’t afford to miss them.

Glad you’re having fun and cuddles with your human children. You look so happy and beautiful, and they do too!

Nice series of photos…I think the language between Harley and Aria was “please go in the kitchen and get me a treat”.

Slim you are “spot on” with that interpretation…
