SECOND CHANCES

Second chances are not given to make things right, But are given to prove that we could be better even after we fall.

I loved Leo with my whole heart.

When he stopped breathing, the pain was so severe I just knew I was next.

I loved him that much…

SECOND CHANCES

I thank God everyday for Jaxson and second chances…

SECOND CHANCES

I am so happy for you that you got that second chance, and weren’t afraid to take it. ♥

I know the pain of losing a dog that we love so deeply, Cathy. It takes a long while to heal after that. Although we will never forget our love for our dogs that have passed, our new furry family members fill up our hearts with love and joy. I am glad that you have Jaxson and Harley.

Words cannot express the deep pain one feels. It’s so difficult. I felt so empty. I thank God everyday for Jaxson (and Harley).

Awww. It’s so hard to lose our furry loved ones – a new furry loved one can never replace the one we lost, but they do make us smile again. They give us so much love!

Leo was the first blogging friend that I lost and I remember crying so hard for you. Jaxson makes my heart smile. ♥

I can totally relate to this post. For me, Cinco is the love that was lost and Dexter is the new love. I’m glad that you have so many wonderful memories with Leo. That is one of the great things about being a blogger. You blog about the great, happy things that happen and you have a record of those moments forever. Jaxson is such a great guy. I’m glad that he has been able to wag his way into your heart.

Like MK told me – she cried when Leo died and I cried when Cinco died. We even develop loving relationships through the internet. I am so grateful for Jaxson and I love knowing you have Dexter.

Losing a loved one, furry or not is a pain like no other, but God has a way of letting each of us know his plan and what is right for us at what time. You were blessed with Jaxson and he is a wonderful addition to your family. He was made for you and you are so lucky to have him!

I know that pain as well. It hurts unbelievably, but having that love in your heart and life is worth that awful price.

Yeah, but it takes a long time to be able to function in their absence. Jaxson has been a God sent to both me and Harley.

I know this feeling and loss. When we lost our first dog, Pip, my heart just broke and still breaks when I think about him. I still miss him everyday. But Ruby has certainly helped heal from his loss.

It’s a pain that is truly indescribable. I can feel the love you still have for Pip when you write about him. Thank the Doodle we have our stories to tell, read and share.

I won’t lie, this post made me cry for a good five minutes and then just lay on Max. I still shed uncontrollable tears for my Pompeii, but God does have a way of taking care of us. Just before I lost her I was given a brand new baby (human baby) then just after loosing my cats only a few months apart I was given another baby. (Then my mom advised me to never get a bunch of pets all at the same time again. That was a wonderful 12 years and then a really rough two). And then quite by accident Max fell into my life and helped heal that hole that Pompeii left. I didn’t think I would come to love him quite the same way, but this post just made me realize that I do. Thank you, and curse you for making me cry so much! 🙂

I didn’t mean to make you cry Heather – honest I didn’t. I think when you have that kind of pet love in your life – it takes another pet parent to understand and commiserate with you. I will always be here for you too my friend.

“They” say that sometimes our first furry babies send us the opportunity to feel that love again. I know Kissy sent me Callie. Glad you got your second blessing as well, in the spirit of sweet Jaxson.

This post is the answer to all the people saying, “I could never have another dog; losing them hurts too much,” The rewards to grasping that second chance are so amazing. Even though the inevitable loss is so painful.
