Is your dog happy? Whether you say yes or no, do you really know?
I catch myself (often) watching my Boys wondering if they are happy, content, and/or comfortable.
Do I make them as happy as they make me?
Smart Living Network shares six signs that can help you tell if your dog is happy –
- eyes – shape and size change with their emotions
- mouth – used for communication
- ears – whenever the ears sit on their head naturally
- tails – a wagging one!
- hair – not over shedding, not raised between the shoulder blades
- body posture – standing normally means he’s at ease
Another example is to look at Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs (a theory of human motivation) with a little canine twist to discover the secrets to a happy dog…
THE SECRET TO HAPPINESS –
The meaning of life is to live it. The secret to a happy dog is to help him live a fulfilled life. That means he actively participates in it. He plays, goes places, and does things. Basically, the secret to a happy dog is not much different at all from the secret to a happy person. Cullen’s Archangel Rescue, Inc.
Well, Harley and Jaxson seemed very happy when they met with Mayor John Techlenburg.
WHY ARE WE MEETING WITH THE MAYOR? –
Because the Mayor loves his pet friendly city and wants to meet the Doodles who are barking day and night to make Charleston THE “Best City for Pet Travelers!”
We’re coming down to the wire in the Go Pet Friendly March Madness tournament.
It’s Round 5 and we’re up against the defending 2015 champs of Port St. Joe, FL.
Known for their miles of pet friendly beach sand , I still believe Charleston’s got much more to offer.
CHARLESTON HAS –
40 pet friendly restaurants (they’ve got 4)
3 pet friendly beaches (they’ve got 1)
34 pet friendly attractions (they’ve got 3)
But most of all – Charleston’s now got Groovy Goldendoodles™ who the Mayor has just renamed as “The Charleston Boys” #hellosomebody…
So once again – we’re asking for your vote…
HERE’S HOW TO VOTE –
In order for the Boys to advance to Round 6 #thefinalfour – they’ll need oodles of doodle votes.
It’s pretty easy – just click HERE and scroll all the way down then vote for Charleston SC (Cathy B).
You can only vote once – but please share with all your friends
We thank you in advance for your support ❤️
Voting for this round ends at 9PM on Thursday, March 31st

How could Jaxson and Harley be anything but happy with a hu-mom who gives them such a great life?
It’s really exciting that Charleston’s mayor is behind the city’s bid to be the Best City For Pet Travelers. And you and the doodle boys, er, Charleston boys, are great ambassadors for a wonderful city.
March 28, 2016
You are too too kind Pamela. I’m just an older woman trying to make it into heaven LOL The Mayor was pawsome for sure. He’s got just the right personality and he was quite accommodating considering as soon as we arrived the fire alarm went off and we all had to evacuate the building. But he and the “Charleston Boys” adjusted and we even drew a crown on the corner of City Hall. HA!

Just voted! By showing those idyllic places that you’ve visited with the Boys and how happy they are to explore their new city, we’re longing to come visit you! Plus in other Doodle forums, we’ve come across oodles of doodles in SC… lots of friends to meet!
Best of lucks, but we think you guys got this! 😉
With loving paws always,

Every time I’ve voted, you’ve been whomping the competition! Keep up the good work pulling for your new city. I only know from everything you’ve written, it sure sounds like a great city, where any dogs and their people would definitely be welcomed and happy!
I can usually tell our crew is happy by their smiling faces and wagging tails…which it makes me happy to see!

Harley’s tail is his give away, but Jaxson’s face tells it all! Thanks so much for your support with the voting. I really hope we can pull this off.
