DST & DOODLES IN DC

Regardless of how well we plan our weekends , we’re never “really” in control now are we?

After Leo’s “breakthrough” last week on the agility course, I was “fired-up” about his upcoming class bright and early Saturday morning. Much to my dismay, I woke to find a note from Karen the “Doodle Whisperer” in my inbox…

Once I adjusted to this paradigm shift in my day, I prepared for activity #2.  Out of town family would be arriving later in the afternoon for a short overnight visit before continuing North. Harley – on his post as our official “welcome to our house” greeter – alerted us when they reached the driveway..

Sometimes, timing can be everything…

The District of Columbia opened its hearts and doors to the ladies of DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INC. as they celebrated their week long Centennial Anniversary…

Our niece Leslie (a member) wanted to capture just a few memories of this historic event so we all traveled downtown and walked around amongst the sea of “crimson and cream”

The Sorority originated on the campus of Howard University – so it was only fitting that Leslie, her girls AND The Boys take a picture in front of the University sign…

As usual, there were ladies lined up wanting to take a picture with the Groovy Goldendoodles™…

And then there was “Jessica”, an incredible ten year old who stole Leo and DH‘s heart…

A Chapter from California, invited Leslie and The Boys to take a group picture…

And they even got a chance to walk the campus grounds and say hello to dozens of Delta Ladies…

Later that evening, our good furrends at Puparatzi Parties, hosted an “Ice Cream Social” at FETCH Bakery-Boutique, so we stopped by for a hot minute. We didn’t stay long, Doodle Mom was exhausted, but it’s always a “treat” to see Tracy, the crew and a few of their guests…

It was a “doodle-filled” weekend, and after dinner when I asked Leo if he had a good time, he winked and gave me a paw-pump…

And that my furrends, said it all.

As always, thanks so much for reading, and I promise to keep writing…
