Pet Photography is not easy. Trust me, I should know. Doodle Dad’s entire Military career is one big Kodak blur #truestories I have seasoned photographers in my own family that refuse to show me their secrets.
Education and hours of practice “may” yield someone (other than me) real camera bragging rights. But count it a blessing if you come across someone who has the knowledge, skill AND that “Midas touch” behind the lens. You will have scored BIG. #doodlebig
The Boys scored REALLY BIG!
MEET JEANNE TAYLOR –
I’m a dog girl, plain and simple. I have always loved animals of every sort and, really, some of my best friends have been dogs. They are, to me, the most amazing creatures and they completely inspire me in so many areas of my life.
I was introduced to Jeanne years ago in Northern Virginia. Our paths crossed several times traveling in the same four legged circles.
October 2016, Charleston Pet Expo – I hear her call my name. How coincidental she and I both migrated to Charleston.
All of our time together is full of laughs, doodles, and good times. But what else would you expect from two people who adore dogs and love capturing the essence of their innocence and beauty from behind the lens of a camera.
Because she does it sooo much better than I do, Jeanne Taylor Photography is now the official photographer for Groovy Goldendoodles™…
It is no secret that I’ve wished, prayed, posted, and shouted a gazillion times –
I want my boys in print modeling!
It’s taken me years to realize in order to do this I need photos with the correct lighting, proper lens, along with the eye for that pawfect angle – I needed professional photo’s. Someone who truly loved dogs and had the patience to work with me!
Jeanne is that pawson…
ROUX –
While you may not know Jeanne, chances are you’ve seen her pup “Roux.”…
He’s a 3 year old Catahoula Leopard with the most gorgeous eyes, that modeled for the Freedom No Pull Harness…
Self taught, Jeanne read and studied volumes of technical textbooks and perfected her craft. Through her journey she realized – photographing dogs was her passion.
Senior dogs and rescue animals are her “soft spots” so you will always find her volunteering her time and her talents with adoptables, and fundraising events. #givingspirit
COLLABORATION –
Currently, Jeanne and I are working on a very special project together. When we’re closer to a launch, you will be the first to know #pawmise
Meet the Groovy Goldendoodles™ is now it’s own page on Jeanne’s website. Soon you will be able to access it from our home page as well to keep up with the new photos she posts monthly as we photograph breathtaking Charleston views. #doodlesintow
If you’re living in the Charleston SC or Northern VA area and are interested in natural setting / studio photography for pets and the people who love them, I would highly recommend you contact Jeanne Taylor.
One look at her photo’s will put a smile on your face for the rest of the day.
Watch…
Smiling aren’t you?
Told you so!
Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
ONE MORE THING –
If the thought of what the Fourth of July celebratory fireworks does to your pet is already starting to work your last borrowed nerve. Stop back on Monday and I will tell you how I help Harley through it.
Photography is a love affair with life ❤️

Beautiful pictures! I’m an amateur dog photographer (emphasis on amateur) but I love taking pictures of my collies. I wish we lived closer, I’d love to learn from you! Unfortunately I am up here in New England, but if maybe someday we will make it down there.

We agree. A great pet photographer is worth their weight in gold. Not only did mine make Sam looks totally pawsome, she even made me look good! No easy feat. Have a wagnificent weekend!

I always ask Jeanne to “photo shop me out” LOL
I love watching her work. She “gets” my Boys and is always able to hit her mark with her photos. Both Boys enjoy hanging out with her too!

No matter how good my own photographer gets with taking shots of us, nothing beats professional photos. Everyone should do that now and then. It’s fun and the shots are always amazing. Good for you partnering up!

Emma, there are so many photo opportunities that I’ve cried over because I missed it completely or they’re blurry or I’ve got half a tail LOL I love having Jeanne in our lives.

Jeanne is very talented! I think every pet should have their portraits taken by a really skilled photographer.
