NOW AND LATER

Many baby boomers associate the words Now and Later with a super chewy #makeyourteethache candy from the 60’s era.

Recently “this” baby boomer started labeling the Boys with those very same words. Seems that whenever they get something one will immediately –

  • Do it
  • Eat it
  • Use it…

…while the other will wait and save it for “later.”

Which Dood I’ve named “now” and who I address as “later” may surprise you.

NOW AND LATER

OR –

NOW AND LATER

I affectionately gave them those names the day I purchased two new inexpensive mats while running errands.

When I’m in my office, I constantly hear their elbows crash onto the hardwood floors when they decide to plop down. It doesn’t seem to bother them – but it makes me cringe with pain whenever I hear it.

When I laid the mats by my desk, true to their pet names (#punintended) they once again validated the name I gave them.

Meet NOW who jumped right on it #usingit

NOW AND LATER

His sidekick LATER who laid beside it #savingit

NOW AND LATER

If you guessed Jaxson was “later” then you guessed right. He is as unpredictable as he is comical.

This Wednesday throw kindness around like confetti ❤️

ONE MORE THING –

Come back on Friday to find out about our exciting Halloween weekend get-away. #roadtrip

This is us being a little less wordy as we contribute in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

We love to lie on soft things, but Katie was always one to lie next to them. Every dog has their own thing.

This is true. Yet, you all never stop surprising us now do you Emma? Always keeping us on our toes!

With 5 dog beds scattered about my hardwood floored house, I can’t tell you how many ‘laters’ there are. All too often they are are hanging off. Must be nice to fall asleep wherever one puts one’s head.

Monika – I would love that treatment especially when I’m super sleepy in the recliner yet by the time I get up walk upstairs and get in my bed, I’m wide awake!

    Sounds like typical siblings 🙂

Yes, they certainly are. The older Jaxson gets the closer they seem to become.

How cute!! I don’t bother with dogs beds or mats…I just jump right onto my humom’s bed instead! BOL!

Oh Mia – they do too when we’re upstairs. But there are beds and mats all over the first floor. They have such a tough life 🙂

That’s so cute! I would have thought Jaxson was Now though… I guessed wrong!

Pierre is my Later because he is so cautious about new things. Bentley is nosey and NOW!

So funny! My cats are the same way, but they switch between who is “now” and who is “later”. Very often they will lay beside a bed rather than in it. Silly kitties! I would have thought that Jaxson would have been the “now” dog. He seems to be a little more excitable. I guess Harley is still reminding him to respect his elders. 🙂

🙂 I would have guess Jaxson as now too. Those two are adorable. We only have one dog in our house, but definitely now and later cats lol. Enjoy your new mats guys!

Hey Heather! I would love to get another Doodle. My husband does not like cats so that dream will definitely not come true. But I love my cat bloggers!!!! I get my fix that way LOL

Diesel is more like Jaxson. He will lay beside a mat and maybe use it as a pillow, lol. Cute pups, have fun on your Halloween getaway!!

Hey Greg – the hotel was a-mazing. Please come back later this week and read the full review.

I guessed right! We’ve got a new bed to try, and it’s always a mystery who will like it or use it first. Luke does tend to get excited about new toys…playing with them “now”, and then losing interest, and Cricket will pick it up “later”. But beds are a whole different story, and I’ve never noticed a pattern (will be looking for one now though!).

    I love your photos!

For me, my Bernese Mountain Dog drives me a little crazy when she sneaks into our living room on jumps onto the couches (she knows that she shouldn’t)!

Anyways, keep up the great work!
