WHOSE BED IS THIS?

Got a dog? Then I imagine you’ve asked yourself “whose bed is this?” once or twice in you life. #atleast

Since the arrival of the Southern Dood’s, rarely am I the first one in the bed…

whose bed is this?

BED HOGGING –

I thought by designating a section for them, we could rest comfortably together. I use a barrier sheet for them at the foot of the bed. It’s soft and they took to it immediately.

Imagine how impressed I was when I stumbled across this statement on the internet –

A dog who sleeps at your foot is yielding to you as the leader of the pack. Remember, dogs are pack animals and every dog has his place in the pack, including where to sleep. Source: quora.com

Had I unknowingly done something right? #yougogirl

I don’t know….

You be the judge, because I think this is just ridiculous…..

WHOSE BED IS THIS?

…yet – at the end of the day I do get the best REM sleep when they’re there!

ONE MORE THING –

Have you seen Jaxson’s book? It’s pawdorable…

WHOSE BED IS THIS?

Read about “If My Dog Could Talk” then enter for the give-away. Go on, you’ve still got time.

❤️ is a FOUR legged WORD even when you’re sleeping!

Bailie and Madison, along with the two cats sleep in bed. Bailie prefers to sleep by Mom’s pillows and cross ways on the bed so there isn’t much space. Mom likes her there to cuddle with like a living stuffed animal and Bailie loves the cuddling too. It’s crowded, but cozy for everyone.

Our Bear thinks it’s his bed, and at 85 lbs, he takes over quite a bit of the bed 🙂 Stretching his legs out, pushing my husband and I over to the edges of the bed, while he has the center all to himself!

I like using my humom’s foot as a pillow. But sometimes I like to crawl up to her side and cuddle next to her. But then it gets too hot and then I go back to the end of the bed. haha

Well, Cole would NOT sleep with us. Milo counted the days til he got on the big bed. It happened at the hotel because he put up such a fuss in his bedtime crate I thought we’d be put out. He won a place on the bed and nestles into my husband’s legs, sometimes pushes into mine but the best spot is on top of Daddy. Drew is eventually pushed from the bed about 6am
Then Milo moves over to snuggle me unless he takes the opportunity to sprawl into the entire space left by Daddy. He’s a mess. 6 months old now. Love the pic of reading, and the one of dogs in tandem on their sheet.

Love sleeping with my guys despite the fact they are shameless bed, blanket and pillow hogs. Their contented breaths help me fall and stay asleep.

The Golden Doods are sweet to pretend you are the pack leader when I know you are putty in their paws! Bentley is allowed on the bed because it is too high for him to jump but Pierre is a snuggly bed hog.

    Jaxson has a book??!!

As you know, Misha is much smaller than Jaxson. Yet, she is an 8 lb. bed hog!

She starts at the end of the bed. I cover her with the quilt since I don’t use it.

In the middle of the night, I can feel her travel down her tunnel until she is up around my stomach.

I suspect it’s body heat, but maybe she’s trying to knock me off the bed. 😉

Wow, they take up a lotta real estate in that bed! 🙂 Rita generally stays down by our legs – lately she really likes sleeping right in the middle of the bed which is good, except that her legs are always facing my direction so I often get kicked! But she only stays in the bed with us for a while at the beginning of the night, and sometimes in the wee hours if it’s chilly she’ll hop up and snuggle in next to the daddy. (The Heatilator.) If the hubs is around, I prefer her to not sleep with us cuz she takes up too much room – but if he’s away I shamelessly beg her to sleep with me! 🙂

Luke sleeps at the top of the bed by the pillows, between hubby and I. Cricket always sleeps next to hubby’s legs. I’m not sure what that says about us or our dogs, but we like the arrangement! Once in a while, Luke will sleep on the chair in the bedroom and I always miss him when he does! 🙂

I love crawling into bed with mum – but she doesn’t let me do it often!! Sometimes I nap on the edge of the bed, and sometimes I even sneak right into the middle and take up all the room!
But if I’m not allowed on the bed then my next favourite spot is the couch 🙂
Lots of licks, your new friend Morrie!

Hello Morrie – so nice to meet you 🙂 The bed seems to be the place for everyone – maybe because during our home renovation process and everything’s in such a disarray they feel more secure on top of me and Doodle Dad. Time will tell 🙂 Thanks for stopping by – please come back again…
