This is a beautiful time of the year. Winter is now behind us, spring has sprung and summer is almost upon us. It’s the time of year where the sounds of lawn mowers and children playing coax you outside on a Saturday morning.
On our street a favorite pastime seems to have re-emerged – “softball.” I smile as I listen to the neighborhood children boast about their athletic abilities, as they plan their game. Funny how watching them play stirs up fond memories of those days from my past when children’s imagination came from within.
Yes, this is the season where kids of all ages and sizes will find the time to swing a homemade bat and for just a minute – pretend they’re in the big leagues…
Teams are chosen, everyone’s ready, Mason grabs the stick, bat, and Harley takes his position on the pitcher’s mound…

We go to watch the dog daddy play softball every Friday. It’s lots of fun, but last night was a bi week so we didn’t go.
