MOVING AND GROOVING

Yep! That’s us – we’re moving and grooving #doodlestyle

They handled the chaos well –

Harley followed me around all weekend. Exhausted and running on fumes, he finally decided he couldn’t get left behind as long as he hovered near the boxes…

Jaxson bet all his toys and treats on “sticking and staying” near a human. So much so, by 3am he sort refuge and a short nap in the closet under the stairs with our son…

Our 30.1 mile journey was safe, uneventful with a ton of hilarious memories.

We’ve been in the house for two days now. It’s sill a wreck but- who’s rushing? We got the rest of our lives to get it together.

Jaxson is fascinated with city living. He spends most of his time at the front door, watching and waiting #mufasadoodle

And so the adventure begins….❤️

This is our contribution in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

That’s great you are living exactly where you want to be. Mom grew up with her dad being a builder, living in unfinished homes all the time. Now she will only live in finished new homes. Life does shape you! Enjoy your new groove!

It’s amazing how our childhood shapes us as adults. I never moved as a child – this is move #14 for me as an adult. While it gets old, there’s still a bit of excitement lurking around.

I was just thinking of you today, wondering how the move was going. So glad to hear it was uneventful and you are there!
Gosh, it was just over a year ago that we went through the chaos of moving. It took quite a while to get things settled, and now we just take our time at each little project we want to do.
    Enjoy the settling in!

It’s not as awful “yet” as I imagined. I think the hardest part was deciding on the front end what to bring and what to place in storage. We’re getting there.

It looks like you guys have been really busy! I hope that you were able to get everything done that you needed to get done. I think Jaxson had a good idea with hanging out near the humans. That would be a great way to get treats! 🙂

And his plan seemed to have worked out PAWfectly – every time I turned around he was either chewing or getting loads of attention.

Now I’ve just got to stay sane during the renovations. It’s cray-cray now, but I’ve got the rest of my life to dream, plan and execute so it’s all good.

It’s like an emotional roller coaster at times but for the most part, it’s been interesting in a happy go lucky sort of way. I will however, be thrilled when it’s all behind me!

They love the front door so much I’ve been looking more at glass doors for the renovation now because of them LOL

Thanks Jean. I think having the two dogs made it a bit easier than just one. A few times they were huddled together in a corner. I think they were able to reassure each other.
