LOVE STORY

Remember the blockbuster movie “Love Story?”  It debuted in December – 1970 to be exact.

The world watched a wealthy Harvard law student (Ryan O’Neil) “whoo” a middle-class Radcliffe College girl (Ali McGraw). He was relentless. They fell in love and then BAM – get out the Kleenex.

If you’ve never seen it, I won’t spoil it, but just know they didn’t live “happily ever after.”

Despite the drastic turn of events towards the end of the movie, I thought it was one of the most beautiful love stories to air on the big screen at that time!

That is until I witnessed “Doodle Love.”

THE BEGINNING –

It began – not from across a crowded room – but rather through a picket fence…

LOVE STORY

What had happened was – – – on an afternoon walk,  Jaxson saw something. Abruptly, he slowed his steps, changed his gait and started strutting like a Clydesdale with his head held high.

He froze by the fence and that’s when I saw her.

She is white, with apricot stripes down the center of her back. Their height, weight and frame are close to identical. Tails wagged, as she bowed, and he jumped.

Harley wasn’t nearly as excited. Pawhaps he doesn’t care for younger Doodles or maybe he sensed this was to be his brothers “furry lady.”

THE MEETING –

This is a common route for us during the week, so whenever we walked that way, he would pause by the fence hoping to see her again.  Imagine the excitement as we strolled through the park over the weekend and saw “her” with her human.

Jaxson made me proud during the introductions. He sat down like a true Gentledoodleman who had been properly trained on greeting etiquette when meeting a Ladydoodle…

LOVE STORY

Her name is Luca, she’s a few months younger than Jaxson, and just like the first meeting, she bowed…

LOVE STORY

It is safe to say – Jaxson and Luca are now an item…

Because of this intense love connection, Luca’s human (Gail) and I are chaperoning their first date. We’ve been invited to Luca’s favorite beach for an afternoon of water and waves.

The heart wants what it wants …

LOVE STORY

Love should always make your tail wag ❤️

Oh brother! My little sister Madison has several boyfriends. She stops to play and kiss them on her walks and in agility class, she and her bo make out when it isn’t their turn to run. The young ones!

Lots of little ladies fall for Jaxson but I’ve not seen that twinkle in his eye since we lived in VA and the cute little Doodle moved next door.

I was surprised Harley was so laid back. He’s been on Benedryl the past few days because of the allergens. PAWhaps he was too drugged to care!
