When I think about everything that’s going on in this world, I can’t help but feel abundantly grateful for my life and the lives of my family and friends…
There are no “scheduled” plans for us this Thanksgiving holiday. The human children will remain in VA while Doodle Dad and I reflect on the enormous blessings we’ve received this year.
Today while many start food preparations for tomorrow, I will bake up some Carob cookies for the Birthday Boy…
When I think about how far my little Puppy Mill Doodle has come, I can’t help but tear up. #suchawimp
While I may have saved his life, he’s changed mine forever. I am a better person because of a Doodle. I am grateful. #yesIam
I AM ALSO GRATEFUL FOR YOU! –
Over a few short years you’ve allowed me into your computers, tablets, and smart phones and given me a place to share true stories about my life with these amazing animals.
I don’t take our friendship lightly. I cherish it. #justsoyouknow
My Thanksgiving prayer this year is a simple one – Peace. I wish it for everyone – everywhere…
ONE MORE THING –
A very special “thank you” to my blogging friend “Emmy” (the pet sitter!)…
I met her at a charity event two years ago. She’s an incredible lady. #loveherhumor
Earlier this year when I was forced to abort my trip to the 2015 Blog Paws Conference, Emmy grabbed my goodie bag and hung onto it for months.
Last week she dropped it off at the pet resort for me. #sograteful
It was a ton of treats, toys, food and accessories inside…
More than we could ever imagine using before the expiration dates! So after a not so popular discussion about sharing with others…
We traveled to the Doc Williams SPCA. A “no-kill” Animal Shelter not too far from where we live…
We met Marcia (Executive Director) and we’re committed to donate there regularly. They’re over extended but they believe –
animals, as living creatures, have value beyond economic measurement and are entitled to legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection.
That’s a mission Groovy Goldendoodles™ can stand behind!
Happy Thanksgiving!
This is our contribution in the BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Aw, you’re so sweet to mention me, Cathy! I’m glad I could help, although what a shame the boys didn’t get to eat it all!! It’s a good time of year to remember how much we have to be grateful for. I had no idea when I attended BlogPaws 2011 that I would meet so many people and pets who have become friends. We are blessed.
November 26, 2015
Yes we are truly blessed Emmy. And I was honored to share – Harley and Jax will by no means miss any of what we donated. Trust me!
November 25, 2015
That is awesome you made the commitment to donate to SPCA regularly! I’m sure your boys were happy to share their booty from BlogPaws 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!
November 26, 2015
They had no clue but they were really good with the staff while we were there, and for that they got extra treats when we got home!
November 25, 2015
Beautiful post, Cathy. The Doodles and I are going to follow your lead and get ourselves over to the No Kill shelter with some of our abundance. Also, I am following your lead — let’s all pray for peace. I join you in that call. Happy Thanksgiving my friend. Joy for Doodleville. And happy birthday dear Harley. Super Seven!

Oh Deirdre – that is so wonderful. I hope EVERYONE who reads that post will share their “abundance” if they aren’t already doing so. Hope you’re having a doodle*licious holiday so far. Harley is enjoying his weekend celebration! Hugs to your pack!
